ITALY
Melvin Sembler
$127,600 to the GOP*

It seems that President Bush was determined to find a place for Mel Sembler in his administration. Bush initially picked him to head the Export-Import Bank, but Sembler withdrew his nomination when it was discovered that his company did business with banks that received loans from the agency.

Bush then nominated Sembler, the former finance chairman of the Republican National Committee and ambassador to Australia under Bush's father, as ambassador to Italy.

Sembler contributed $11,350 to Republican candidates and party committees during the 1999-2000 election cycle, including $1,000 to George W. Bush's campaign account. He also wrote a $5,000 check to the Bush-Cheney recount fund, and his company, the Florida-based Sembler Co., contributed $100,000 to the Bush-Cheney Inaugural Committee. (Both contributions have been included in Sembler's contribution totals.)

Sembler's wife, Betty, contributed $11,250 to GOP candidates and party committees during the presidential election cycle, including $1,000 directly to the Bush campaign. Together, the Semblers contributed a total of $127,600 to the GOP and nothing to Democrats.

*Figures represent contributions from the individual and his/her immediate family in 1999-2000. Total includes donations made to Republican candidates and party committees, as well as the Bush-Cheney recount fund, transition foundation, and inauguration committee.

Even the Jews?? What a comment!

A Holocaust foundation in D.C. recently hosted an educational event for local law enforcement people. I don't remember the formal name offhand, but it was an important one along the lines of The Halocaust Museum Foundation or something; affiliated w/ the museum in D.C. The gist of the thing was to educate American law enforcement personnel on the history of their German counterparts in the years and decades prior to WWII. They wanted our law enforcement to understand how decent, compassionate and self respecting people made the progression from good and honest public service to carrying out the grunt work of shipping millions of people off to work camps.

This is typical of Jewish philanthropy. They get it. They study the history. They're not reactionary idiot rabble like some other factions of our society.

The only piece of the puzzle they seem to be missing is that, so far, no one w/ any significant sway has questioned Melvin Sembler's bogus disguise. Sembler and the rest of the neocons' philosophy is fascist; they're Nazis at heart. All we have to do is make it clear to pillars of Jewish society that Mel Sembler is not one of them. They'll be the first and most entheusiastic to route the son of a bitch, if we can only get people to get past the presumption that all criticizm of any Jewish person must be founded on antisemitism. It's not. I don't hate this guy because he's Jewish. I hate him for what he's done and is doing to my country and to other countries in my name.

When Plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in a society, they create for themselves in the course of time, a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.
