Just to clarify any doubts about my integrity, here it is:
"I'm not much of a fan of the American commercial comedies, but I still laugh when I watch an episode of Friends, South Park, the Simpsons or whatever".
This is what I said. I didn't criticize "AMERICAN HUMOR", it's pretty obvious. The only refference I've made regarding the American COMMERCIAL humor, is that I'm not much of a fan. Now tell me If that gives you the right to discriminate against me for not being American? I don't understand why this has been getting so political, but I'll tell one thing:
Just like most of you, I've been through Elan. I've been posting in this site for quite a while now and I dedicate much of my time and effort to this and If YOU think my opinion is "meaningless", too bad for you. Other people tend to disagree, so, I guess this is just your opinion AFTER I told you that your jokes weren't funny. If you got your feelings hurt, why don't you say it so, versus attacking me with ignorant prejudice comments?
The only reason why I criticized your jokes is because they are all over the site and they are repetitive and it defeats the entire purpouse of the forum, which is to discuss Elan related issues and getting in touch with old friends. I guess It's OK to joke around a bit, but it was getting out of hand, so I reacted. I even told you not to take it personally, didn't I?
I'm sorry it's gotten to that point. This has nothing to do with being American or not, I see no reason why one's opinion should be more valuable than the other just because of his or her nationality. It's stupid to argue over it or to make a stupid comment with the means of offending others.
It's all I wanted to say.
Peace!
Marina
