Is it True that Steve Turney Died???
« on: February 19, 2004, 08:49:00 PM »
I was told that Steve Turney died of a poisonous snake bite...A spitting Cobra...Is this true?  I know he like Snakes...

Moralizing, with the force of law or coercion, is a
far greater crime against the constitutional principles of our nation than unauthorized euphoria, regardless of the substance involved, be it chocolate or heroin.

This site was passed on.  Can't believe the first two posts were about really good friends I had lost touch with.  Was on my phases and later staff w/ Steve.  Both Glen and Steve were in my wedding many moons ago.  I had heard about Glen.  If anyone gets something solid on Steve please post it.  Name is Kelly S.  was at Straight Springfield in '84 -'86 and later on staff. Not sure when I quit, think '89.
Scott D. - I'd probably remember you if you could jog my memory.  It's been a looong time.

If he was a Staffer at Straight...the rumor is more than likely true.
Why? Well most of the ex staffers have had horrible things happen to them.
This is called "Karma".

This is what happens to evil people..and the beauty of it is that it cannot be circumvented.

So he went from teenage kids to snakes as captives? Im glad he was finally usurped by his captives.
I hope it hurt...

I have heard nothing to confirm that he died, but alot of relativeley young people die.Steve really had alot of talent, too much
talent to be on staff in such a rouge, unprofessional, borderline criminal organization like Straight. I guess he really fell for their
manipulation hook, line and sinker. He would leave Staff and always come back on Staff, as if he couldent find a job he liked on the outside. He could have been a great actor, seriously:He had a flair for drama,he was somewhat queeny, poetic and humourous. At one point he was verry breifly an executive but he didnt like having to be called "MR. TURNEY." He was living in Catonsville,MD for a while in the early-mid nineties.I used to hang out with a neighbor of his who said Steve had decided to move to North Carolina to start a tattoo, body piercing business.I dont know if he ever did. I dont like to gossip, but that dude was/is a bit of a legend of the Mid/late 80's Sprimngfield era. I think he cared about people but he was crazy, like so
many talented people are. I guess a death record search could help answer the question but it could be timeley and cost money.Death is part of life,I accept death but I'm tired of seeing so many young people die tragically. I had a serious health
scare in 2006-pnemonia cysticitis and a pulmunary embolism.I almost died but God and the good people at Laurel Regional
Hospital ICU interveened.Life is verry hard. I wrote a poem about Steve Turney the other day but it sounds to much like Bob
Dylan, I like to be original and that poem was too copycat. Good cheer and best wishes to all. Peace and Love.-Evan J Rodgers.
