In 1997, a Marine Corps anti-drug patrol operating under the so-called drug war exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act, shot and killed an 18-year-old American high school student who was herding goats near his family's farm in Redford, Texas. Wider use of the military to fight the war on terror on the home front could lead to similar incidents.

Just look at what's going on in Haiti right now. Their US backed thug military has overthrown the Aristide government yet again. This is how our military has been used throughout the Caribean and Central and South America for decades.
Patriot, I agree with you, few US soldiers could be convinced to draw down on their own home town neighbors, even under direct orders to do so. But that's not a real logistical problem to our brilliant military minds who might want to use our military for domestic control. They simply send the boys from Ohio out to put down those pinkos in California and the boys from California to put down the right-wing reactionaries in the South., etc., etc.
