After 5th phase (for us anyway) came the dreaded 3 month aftercare. After Straight it seemed easy...but there were still meetings and confrontations...no smoking no girlfriends/boyfriends.  So many AA meetings a month were required. The most pathetic part was I was an "out-of-towner" and I still followed most of the rules. Believe me even at 16 I knew what a load of brain washed bull it all was but I figured with 2 years left until the magical 18th b-day I had better comply. Actually I was able to get away with alot b'c I lived so far.  The local graduates I still felt sorry for. You would figure after a place like that we would have all tried to help keep people from going back, but it wasn't like that at all. Graduates were always trying to "bust" other graduates.  Those were sick times.

My first phaseS were 9 months-60 days and then start over you're on DAY ONE. 80 days later "I'M COMING HOME" home- for 10 days.I ran away, got caught start over. Split with my oldcomer 10 days later, call HRS who told me I had to go back or be court ordered. Start over. I went in on 10/20/ 80 (my 15th birthday) and finally went home in July of 81. Seven stepped in spring of 82 but was in PT, aftercare. Lead the sibling rap groups for a while...Finally four days before my 18th birthday they told my parents to put me back in or I would be terminated. Terminate away. I have the number to the ACLU & HRS. I will be there for no more than 4 days. I was terminated.

Yeah, I get that. Just a couple of years ago, I'm sitting in my livingroom having a nice conversation w/ my brother. He mentions in passing that he was having big problems w/ coke at a particular time. I realized we were talking about just around the same time that sob showed up to play body guard so I couldn't split real quick before my parents could get me into the car to Sarasota.

That just spelled it! I could accept that he was a bainwashed drone and that's why he helped put me in the Program. But that he was just faking? Didn't buy into it at all? Threw me to the wolves just to cast attention away from himself? I don't know if I've ever been closer to killing that little weasle in my life.

BTW, how's the flower business coming? Better than I predicted, I hope.

Don't laugh when you leave this courtroom, thinking you have beat the system because you have looked these things up yourself. We are going to get you down the road.

Are you a different John Hughes than the one I had lunch w/ at Skyline a couple of years ago? I have a memory like swiss cheese. Lots of holes, but some things stick.

Being sleepy can impair someone's ability to do thier job.  People
can sleep at home and come to the job with sleepiness still in their system. The sleepiness can still be there long after the employee has slept. When someone is found to be sleepy on the job, they can claim that they went to sleep the night before.  The only solution to this problem is to ban employees from sleeping.

Ok, wrong John Huges.

I don't remember the names of the "Raps" where we put in for the different things like Talk and T&R. And then we would have the dreaded Open Meeting Reviews where it was a shit blasting contest.

Also how did we move on to the other phases? I honestly don't remember. All I do remember is standing up when my family were there ( which was rarely ) and covering all the phases I had gone through. The last one I can recall I called out 3rd, 4th, and 5th phases and I was standing on the side of group so it was quite apparent what phase I was on.

What are your memories of phase changes ???

They were called "Homes Raps", I believe.  Once I asked for "Termination" and got confronted by a bunch of zombie Straightlings who seemed quite upset that I didn't wish to participate in the program.
