Did you know that the myth of Moses speaking with God, who was in the form of "a burning bush" is actually a reference to marijuana smoking? Many believe the burning bush to actually have been a marijuana plant, although there is some disagreement among scholars as to whether it was intentionally smoked or whether Moses merely happened to inhale the smoke from a wildfire that burned some cannabis plants. Either way, it is clear that the idea of communion with a higher intelligence, in the Western tradition at least, "flowered" from the effects of marijuana intoxication.
