The spiny apples in Tex and Mexico that grow as weeds are called gymson weed or something similiar. I think it differs from Bella Donna.

I saw a show about gypsum weed.  There was a police video tape of these two guys that were on it.  They were having a conversation with each other and you couldn't understand what they were saying, it was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo.  Then they started passing an imaginary cigarette back and forth between the two of them.  They didn't even realize they were at the police department.  One of them kept getting up and trying to walk out the door.

And the stuff grows wild all over TX.  Also heard you could get high off of morning glory seeds.

I worked at a boys reform school and they were putting nutmeg in their koolaid trying to get high.

When I was 14 or 15 me & Todd Townley smoked oregano trying to get high.  I think we rolled it in notebook paper.

This is the kind of thing straight would try to use against people by saying that they were "dry druggies" that is - druggies that were going to become druggies eventually, therefore they were in need of treatment.  ::deal::

Why else would Todd's mom convince my mom that I had to be in straight?

When his mom told my mom I was a "drug addict" she couldn't believe it.  She went through everything I had all the time and never had found any drugs.  I never had any privacy even before straight.  My mom would dig through my trash can and piece together notes that I had ripped up so she knew what I was doing.

I had never even bought any drugs before straight.  I remember once a friend was going to bring me a joint to school and I was going to pay him $2.00 for it.  I was in the 8th grade.  He pulled it out in class and I freaked out and never bought it.

I just did what everyone else around me was doing.  I acted crazy at home because she was a control freak.  Not because I was addicted.

While I totally and thoroughly enjoy your posts and what you have to say, I think that it is equally important to allow others to post as they wish.  Some of us have been around since a the STRAIGHT bbs actually went live online.  If it is our desire to post anonymously, let us do so.  It's not necessarily a chicken shit thing to do unless we are posting anonymous while talking shit (which is NOT what I am doing now...).

Mutual respect has nothing to do with what YOU alone like as you mentioned.  It has to do with EVERYONE, mutually, and respectfully, no?

I don't always like reading redundant posts of senseless poetry on a board that used to mean something, but I do so out of mutual respect (to use your terminology) and I don't complain about it as the bbs is for everyone and everything, respectfully and mutually.

We were all told what to do enough when we were in the program.

Not to slam you man, just a thought.
Mutually and respectfully speaking.

Very well put.  I think that's really the only time posting anon bothers me.

By 1940 the literacy figure for all states stood at 96 percent for whites. Eighty percent for blacks. Notice for all the disadvantages blacks labored under, four of five were still literate. Six decades later, at the end of the 20th century, the National Adult Literacy Survey and the National Assessment of Educational Progress say 40 percent of blacks and 17 percent of whites can't read at all. Put another way, black illiteracy doubled, white illiteracy quadrupled, despite the fact that we spend three or four times as much real money on schooling as we did 60 years ago.

It wasn't an old police propaganda film.  It was on some show like "You Gotta See This"  or something like that.
