Yes, my daughter had an adverse reaction to Accutane at age 15 (6 years ago) as well. The drug cleared up her acne but she was very depressed and at the time, nobody knew why. Thank God we managed to escape this "miracle" treatment unscathed, though it did take a year or so for my daughter to snap out of the depression (sans any medication which though helpful, does not come without unpleasant side effects,as well). PAXIL also has some problems with triggering suicide ideations in teens. Did you see that warning too? It's good to know this stuff, so parents and teens can make an informed decision. I am not anti-drugs but feel that all other avenues should and must be tried first when dealing with pre-teens and adolescents. There is too much hype now pitching drugs making them appear safe and effective for children. Just check magazines for ads about Concerta, Paxil, Prozac, etc. 5 years ago these ads did NOT exist b/c the manufacturers had a kind-of gentleman's agreement not to advertise. That apparently has changed, much to the detriment of America's youth, I might add.
