Do you guys remember that carpeted room back toward the staff offices? Not the one with the fire exit  right next to the group room, but the one off towards the back..Did it have pictures of like "Austrailia" and stuff? Like travel brochure posters? And why?

I do remember that, but I don't think I was ever allowed in there.  I think maybe once we had a big rap session in there.  Or maybe we just walked through there once.

That was where they let us watch movies...which I only remember one in a year...but I was just wondering why they had all those Travel posters up?!
 I mean it just seems odd to me now...they took such pains to make that place plain and nothing around to "get in your head about" (OMG hes thinking for himself!! Jeeth Chrittht)

 Who was the girl that ..the host mom gave her a fucked up haircut and it looked like a Darth Vader helmet?? She had real dark hair and it had that shape to it...poor girl...I think the staff even was saying it in groups...because obviously we couldnt have talked about it if she hadnt been there in the room...you guys remember that?

That was Marilee Kossack.  She had like never gotten her hair cut and some one convinced her that it was a druggie tie.  Her image or something.  So she agreed to have a little trim, and the next thing you know, whack!  Wow, man, I had forgotten all about that!  She earned 4th phase after me and we both sat outside all day and were burnt to a crisp.  One of the staffers was calling us the lobster twins.  I can't remember his name, but he was from Kerr, Tx.  His last name started with an M or Mc.  Marilee was one of my best friends there.  I stayed at her host home for a long time.  I was there when I was on my 4th phase phase review and Kathy David who was no longer a staffer popped in for a visit with Shannon.  I wasn't allowed to even talk to them since I was on review.  Kathy told me later that she had wished that I would bolt because her and Shannon would have taken me away.  They hid out Allison Boggs for awhile.  Actually, I think Kathy had said Allison was in the car waiting for them that day.

The only movie I ever remember seeing was Big.  What really sucked is that I made 4th phase the night before and there was this outing for the 4th & 5th phasers to go paint some old lady's house.  Steve Brooks was behind me earing my phase.  I had asked one of the 5th phasers about getting to go on the trip to paint the house and I was told that I couldn't go.  It was too late to turn in my persmission slip.  So here I am, the only phaser in group over 3rd phase and it's my fucking 18th birthday and I'm watching this movie and bawling like a baby.  So Steve stands me up to see why I'm crying, and says "what the fuck are you doing here?  Why aren't you with the rest of the upper phasers?"  And why was I crying?  Because in the movie Big, Tom Hanks got to go back and be a little kid again, and here I was in DRUG REHAB on my 18th birthday feeling like a giant piece of shit and STILL being treated like an outsider by my PEERS. :evil:

I saw that movie on tv about 14 years ago. I really thought it was good. It was about a german girl, about 13, that started shooting drugs with her boyfriend and their downward spiral.

the drug scene in Germany at the time was pretty dismal and I thought it was a pretty accurate depiction. Also, it was dubbed.

Thats one vein I never hit..I actually tried once but the vein rolled under the needle, and I didnt want a fucking abcess on my neck..
I still have no veins left, I even blew the ones in my wrists feet and legs out..

I spent last X mas in the emergency room having my stomach cut open because I had a heroin abcess "spreading to my intestines" ( Im skinny and have visible veins that run up my stomach) (excuse me "had")

I do remember this girl...and my g friend and I were at her house shooting coke (years ago) and she was not fat but beefy enough that her veins wouldnt pop up...so she got a belt and tied it around her neck...she was in the bathroom for a long time and asked me to come in there to hit her...and her face was all purple and she had about 10 holes just bleeding all off her neck( keep in mind her neck was tied off with a belt..so it was flowing) I talked her out of it and finally found one in her hand...

wow that's sooo gross, but people do whatever when they're hooked.i am sooo grateful that i never shot up...not to say that i would not have if it was offered to me, but hearing stuff like that helps me to stay clean too...i'm not in the program , but i choose not to use   :scared:  :skull:

My daily routine foryears...was this
7 am wake up start feeling withdrawls.
Somehow come up with 200 bucks to get me and my girl well
If this went on past say 11 am we could no longer function
I remember many days not being able to score till late in the day...you know its really hard to draw a shot and hit a vein while you at the same time are trying not to shit on yourself and vomiting...
 I remember many times handing her my needle because I couldnt see and was gagging up yellow foam and dry heaving.. while she dug around in my foot trying to find a vein...or leg or whatever wasnt infected at that time..and finally when the dope hits...I felt normal again..but no time to relax...no sir see heroin only lasts 8 hours tops...then the process starts again..$200 for us for breakfast..then back out hustling...another $200 to get thru the night..it was never ending maze..and I say $200 just as example that was the minimum to get well...

 Ill write you guys some more detailed true stories if you wanna hear them...just ask
 The one with the girls neck was tame..
 I have personally watched 4 people die in front of me...and saved 2 others that were blue on the floor not breathing..
 I have seen hookers thrown in the dumpster dead of OD ...and all in Lil Ol Midland Tx

 I have had narcotics detective tell me after stopping and searching me 100 times " You know..you can only get a gun pulled on you so many times before you accidently get shot.."

Thats why Im posting this stuff....Im not trying to impress anyone...and I dont really like typing..but I know alot of people could benefit from it..everytime I tell someone what its like to watch a friend turn blue and die, and they hear that and avoid trying Heroin or needles, then that person didint die in vain...
and the ones that died had noone that gave a shit..they were the junkies that had long since had the world turn back on them..but were still my friends...we had a bond in that we walked hand in hand with death just a step away waiting..I really think that I should be dead..there is a reason I am not..and it just may be to tell the story for those that arent..
