You didn't do anything wrong.  I e-mailed you to find out what branch of Straight you were in and you never responded. If I didn't send it to the right address, I'm sorry.

You have been approved.  Sorry for the problem.

Don, when did you make alumni a closed list? And why?

Not too long ago. Because there were too many spambots hitting the board with usernames like "godfrtdkjtx" with messages about hot singles or whatever, I suggested that he do it. He apparently took me up on it. So there's a screening process to make sure that the registrar is in fact a humanoid that (preferably) was in straight inc. I guess it's easier than having to go and delete all of the bullshit posts.

Basically because of SPAMMERS getting in.  But now I'm starting the rethink the idea of restricted membership.  Because it delays ligit people from joining right away.

I'm talking with Colleen about changing it but a decision hasn't been made yet but you may see that change in the next few days.

Thanks Frod,  Believe it or not it's probably easier to monitor the messages that are posted and delete them then it is to send an e-mail to everyone that wants to join. It's time consuming.

Don't get me wrong, it's worth it and I enjoy giving it that personal touch but the delay is still there.  I know how frustrating that can be.  I've waited over two months to get approved for some groups.

I glad it is closed.

We were getting all those weirdos for a while.

I just want the weirdos that were in Straight on there.
