oh my gosh, using children as sexual escorts to lure young impressionable boys into programs is just horrible.  How can they continue to do this.  does this mean that soon, young boys will be used as "escorts" to entice girls into these programs?  what about the homosexual chldren?  homos as escorts?   this is getting out of hand.

I think you missed the point.  Point being, she is referring kids to programs that she does not know anything about.

No where does it say in the original post in this thread that "using children as sexual escorts to lure young impressionable boys into programs is just horrible."

I think it is implied.  Escorts, children how can you not see the connection.  I sincerely hope you are not a parent or comtemplating becoming one.  If you think it is ok to use children as sexual escorts then you are one crazy bitch.

This does NOT refer to sexual escorts.  In the "industry" an escort refers to anyone who goes to point A and picks up a kid and takes him/her back to the program or point B.

Thus "escorting" means-

Main Entry: 1es·cort
Pronunciation: 'es-"kort
Function: noun
1 a (1) : a person or group of persons accompanying another to give protection or as a courtesy

I guess that protecting children is not the issue for you, given you think this whole thing is something to joke about.

no, I think protecting children is very important - I just don't think you and what you have to say is important.  AND, I'm not a trekker or pure fucker or a WWASP supporter.

Humor is an important and useful device to help people deal with terribly serious issues.
For example: How could anyone have stood to watch 'Schindler's List', with out the moments of humor interjected threwout?
If we let ourselves become totally serious with no room for whit and humor; we will soon lose wisdom and discernment. The brain need balance or it gets awfully lopsided and dysfunctional.

I'm with you anon!  I have read many posts and see that some postings are ramblings of anger  vs. protecting children.
