Another bipolar kid destroyed because some evil bastards don't bother to tell the difference between rotten behavior caused by being rotten and rotten behavior caused by inadequately treated mental illness.
"mood disorder"---ie, the kid had pediatric bipolar disorder with a pshrink who hasn't got the memo yet that it exists. They wouldn't have called it that if the kid was plain vanilla depressed.
And yeah, that's about the typical age of onset for pediatric bipolar disorder---5, 7, somewhere in there. My daughter came down sick with it at 7. I came down sick with it at 5.
For some reason I just can't fathom, most people are total dumbshits about bipolar kids and just can't believe the kid can't control his behavior and that it really is a need for medication or a change in medication---until you get the meds right and the kid's personality goes back to exactly what it was before the kid got sick.
Then they'll believe you that the kid is behaving rottenly because the kid is sick.
Until then, bipolar disorder is all some excuse invented by the kid, the pshrink, or the parents to get the kid out of being punished for not behaving---that is: not ceasing to bounce off the walls, not stopping crying, not ceasing to be irritable, not staying awake in class, not laying down for nap time, not getting assignments or homework done.
In short, the kid, shame on his obnoxious butt, is just using the BS diagnosis of bipolar disorder to make excuses for inconveniencing the adults and others around her---by displaying the symptoms of bipolar disorder.
And so they killed another one of us and tried to blame the murder victim.
