Freud thought religion was an illusion. He wrote a very funny paper on it once.  Christianity has been more of a problem in this world since Constantine brought it in in the 1300's.  We don't have a lot of control over our behavior unless we understand why we do what we do.  Sin is just a word.  We all have inner rage and anger at the world.  Like a therapist told me, "we all hate our parents, but some of us have more reason".  Our family taught us how to view the world.  We all have inner strength and a knowing of whats best for us if we can consciously tap into it.  Therapy can do this. Then you won't need an illusory power to help you.  You will be strong on your own and more human.

Thanks GregFL

The bottom line is anoyone who experienced even one hour of Straight/the Seed among others has been victimized including family of the inmates.  We all had/ have our cross to carry of the deranged cult..and now we have to pick up the pieces and heal in the best way we can!!!

I agree, Abreaction. I've never had much need for religion. "Know thy self..."

Hey anon who called me a "jackass" and said this:

Wow, you're so shocking and different than everyone else, gee... I wish I was as punk rock and cool as you are!

What do you have to say now? Were you in straight? What branch? You're female, right? Were you date raped or something? Is that why you had to give me a hard time? Or do you just like being antagonistic?

"A proud non-voter?  Then maybe your opinion regarding the flacid ass of our system doesn't count at all except as time wasted posting.  I don't know just an opinion.  I just have a problem with people living here in the US and reaping the benefits (ie freedom of speech here on the board) but then being so "proud" of their indifference.  I understand all to well the corruption in our government, and the dislike for both parties but refusing to vote or take any part in the political process however minute isn't helping either.  I have lived in other countries and they also live with corruption (that is what power does to people) within the government, but they aren't allowed to complain very loudly.  Hell the women couldn't show their faces in public much less have an opinion.  So forgive my harsh response but I've lived the other side of the coin, and if you don't vote don't complain.       "

Hi uuum I dont have the right to vote..I think Ill just complain...that ok with you, skippy?

"According to the New Testament in Romans chapter 2, paul mentions that those who are entirely ignorant of the gospel message who "are a law unto themselves" will be "judged" according to what they know. In chapters 9, 10, and 11 of Romans, it is apparent that Paul believed that Jews would be "grafted" back ultimately, "all Israel shall be saved". I asked a "completed Jew" once if this "all Israel" meant "all Jews", and he was certain that it was, so I was like, well, don't they have to believe in Jesus? And Avner took me to Romans 9:4-5 "Who are Israelites; to whom PERTAINETH (BELONG) the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen." Mr. Bosky's emphasis was on the present tense "to whom pertaineth (belongs)" the covenants, etc. Paul believed that Jesus (Yeshua) was the promised Messiah and that faith in Him alone brought salvation, but I think it is important to read Romans chapters 9, 10, and 11 and then pray to God about Yeshua.

You know, I've met all types of Christians. I've met some "cool" non Christians and Jews. We are similar in our humanity, and have the ability to bless others, to forgive others. But I have found Yeshua to be greater than the coolest of people. His forgiveness of us is so complete that we often can't handle it. We have our ups and downs, but He is consistent. I like Him alot. If I could I would persuade you to become as I am, but I believe God is more than able to communicate to a willing heart and that if you should look anywhere for answers, you should go directly to Him. I may say something dumb that may cause you to feel alienated or fearful, but in Him there is no fear. Yeshua is the "complete" experience for the Jew and Gentile alike. Glory to God, you've got me preachin! I feel the glory that pertaineth to the Israelites exuding from every pore of my body! This is all your fault!

Hi...I really really hate Christians... Like when they come to my house and knock on the door...I often go out on the porch and then snap on them..or invite them inside and then go off. No its not wrong. When you wander on to my property you are not amongst friends...
I also see the walls of your religion coming down in the future. I see less and less of you every year that goes by.And the fact that all these priests are fucking little boys is not helping your cause. :nworthy:  :nworthy:  :nworthy:  :nworthy:  :nworthy:
Christians have killed more people than any other group ever in history..What have they been fighting over in the middle east for thousands of years? manmade religion.Muslims are no diffrent than christians IMO. The bible is so easy to pick apart..Anyone with a shred of will and intelligence can rip it up.

Try this, Therion. Got a dog? If so, see if you can get ahold of an old pair of welders gloves. You know the kind? Thick rawhide that goes up to your elbows? Keep them near the door and, next time the Bible thumpers come knocking on your door, grab the gloves, tell them you were just about to go feed the dog and invite them to walk with you. That always worked real good for my dad.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
