The story needs to be told. If you think you can do it better, please do. I'm not being facetious. I mean it literally. Dan's got something to say and he's saying it. You will definitely not be satisfied with the way he goes about it because it's not going to tell your story from your perspective. It's going to tell what Dan thinks is important from his perspective. Yours is, obviously, different.

If you can't or don't want to contribute and work some influence on this project, do your own. I mean it. I'd pay to go see both.

I have to say that I am in agreement with Ginger, here.

In ths school yard, people wopuld say things like,

Nobody really owns odeas though.  If you wanna do something, you gotta go out and do it.  The fact of the matter is that I know not enough of Dan to judge him, but HE IS going out and doing it, it seems.

If you think he is wrong, then I say outcompete him, OUT THERE.. not complain in here.


His story will perhaps come from a different angle then yours anway.. his may be mor focussed on the Moxley case, and Ricci..( now I can see that.. that would make a good TV movie.. I could completely see that)


Perhaps, yours can be more focussed on the rpogram itself, and from the point of view of residents, if that is the direction that you wish to go.

you make a lot of sense , do anything to draw attention to elan ..., writing  my   congressman (at the time was) Pete  Defazio  from the Great state of Oregon .

He thanked me for informing him of the elan school . My whole point to  Mr. Defazio was that elan was not a school .It was a radically sadistict and abusive behaviour modifacation center, not a school .

Writing to Mr. Tobin who wrote an article for the New Yorker magazine ,back in 7-01 where he quoted  kruglik as saying that elan was not not an abusive place(from the witness stand under oath,during a preliminary hearing for Mr. Skakel  . I fired ofF a letter to the editor of that magazine stating that Martin Kruglik was in fact  not telling the truth (prejury)in anyway shape or form .(still waiting for a reply )

Details Magazine had some whacked out quotes from zaretsky (he hates it when his name is spelled that way )And so I fired off an  E mail letter to their editor . I knew zareszky and in my opinion he was a scary sociopathic preverted freak .I let them know of my opinion in no uncertain terms .I have not heard squat back .

Yeah sometimes you just gotta do it ,which brings me to my next idea . I have spoken of my diploma from elan on the, time to close the doors of elan web site . I mentioned something as to the effect of putting it on e bay (as a joke ) It is signed by Ricci and Davidson ,and P Mccann and Kruglik ,era 1976  And I mean like putting it on E Bay for say 10 million dollars ,and put it on as a true testatement to pain caused by this bazarre institution . and of course they would be able to pick my brain for every little detail that I could remember about elan .

Say it sold .I would give 2 million to a lawyer that I know who deals with this type of thing .The  man Has beaten  the statutue of limitation laws ,pertaining to other abusive TC's . I have faith that this man could shut down elan and more than likely get former residents money . The other money I would want to split up amongst the folks that survived elan who  were in there with me (during my time ) that did not get anything out of any settlement ,say this all goes forward . Thats kinda like an idea that I am really tempted to do ...

Most certainly would draw attention to elan after all a piece of paper for 10 million dallars . you know itsa a stal at that price (probably really should ask for 25 million dollars )

Just what i have been thinking about

Paul i plan on cleaning up this site  fairly soon .I will try to remove the scat garbage that is just a little too much .Please bear with me .I have two sons and a very hectic work week .(I build houses for a large builder here in Va. average sq foot is 2600 feet ,average price is 190000 and up depending on their upgrades .I have built 14 so far this year and if things go well I have 8 more to go for this year . Of the 8, 2 are lots that I have not taken down yet ,cleared .)a great job ,just keeps me very busy .

I think that the point was very simple.  Dan was informing people that they can download the first 7 chapters of his book.  He then went on to tell that the hard cover is stalled due to the making of the movie.  From there, the thread went it's own way.. Did I miss something?
