Personally, I do not know a single survivor of a residential treatment program that ever thanked an ed con or one of these independent program referral agencies for making a living "referring" them or other kids into treatment programs. Second, anyone who apologizes for these profiteers under the pretext that "some kids really do need treatment" should think twice about who really benefits from forcing minors into some money-making treatment program without due-process. Obviously, it's not the children.  They are the victims.  The target of Public Enemy #1 (profiteering ed cons and program referral agents). Why Frod (the admitted president of the anti-carey-club) thinks it's okay to play both sides of the fence, I do not know.  Either you are fighting for the rights of children or the rights of those who profit from locking them up.  There is no middle ground.

Hope that clears things up and Frod gets the message that not all his critics are some kind of a flying insect.

I suppose if they wanted everyone to know, they wouldn't have posted anon.

Never claimed to be part of any "cause." Believe it or not, I'm just Joe Schmoe who attempted to get some answers to questions floating around on this board. Anyone with a pulse is familiar with those questions already. Please don't take me for any more than I really am. I'm just a lone wolf, no club, that goes for blood when he smells it.
None of this talk really matters anyway. I'm done with all this. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...good night.

But YOU know who it is, of course...(don't answer, you don't have to answer)

Look, it's okay if you want out of something you now claim you were never in. By now, most people are used to the double-speak (being kind, here) and probably don't care one way or another what you do (or don't do, simultaneously) so you might as well just relax for a spell.

About the doublespeak: I never appointed myself as part of any 'cause.' I was just taken for one. Now shut up so I can put my pants on and get out of here.

I have a pretty good idea.

month 12,

in the home of greatest power,

the village idiot will come forth to
be acclaimed the leader.

Frod
Dry up, asswipe. I'm sure you're a WWASP.

I was responding to that. You're off. Way off. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a shill for WWASP. Sometimes people disagree with you for other reasons.

Well, hell Ginger. Look at the thread. Who would have guessed WHAT you were responding to with that one. Maybe you should use the quote thingy more often, so morons like me don't get confused..  :em:

eehhrrrr!  ::bandit::

Ginger, I absolutely love the quotes that follow your posts, especially those of late, which I find particularly relevant (and damn good for the battle weary).  So thanks, from one anon who appreciates all that you do to keep the lights on at Fornits!

Peace and Goodwill to All and if I may, I'd like to recommend a really good CD for the holidays:

Title:  Mediaeval Baebes "Mistletoe and Wine"

Seasonal classics and selections from Baebes' rich history that perfectly captures the spirit of the holidays.

My personal favorites:

Kinderly (Taken from Worldes Blysse)
Glass Window (16th Century English Poem Anon "The Maydens Game")
The Coventry Carol
Love Me Broughte (From the Commonplace Book of John Grimstone 1372)
