in response to this...I agree...come on now. the former elan residents, shouldnt act like we have all the other residents and staff gagged and tied up & now were like loosing it, going crazy bashing and speaking out of our asses. none of us deserved to be in elan..(most of us) and dont let the rage from elan take control of what u stand for, and want to prove. those fuc**rs who say things they know nothing of--just need to be informed. and those people who talk smack, they obviously dont even know how to communicate properly. but just think hoiw this site sounds when u guys are bashing back and forth saying the things like this NAZI guy is saying? it sounds cheap, and lame. No one professional is going to listen to us...

The usual penalty for civil disobedience, such as blocking a road or chaining yourself to a building, is pretty light. It's about like jaywalking. You get a citation, show up for court, pay a fine, something along those lines.

That's one way to get attention. But, however you go about it, the important thing is to have a clear, well documented and complete message to deliver once you have the attention.

While I agree the flame wars are a distraction, I also know that they are a permanent part of life on the net in any open forum. And closed forums just don't garner the fidelity. Think of this for a moment. If you can clearly tell the difference between hostile bullshit and sincere writing, why can't the professionals? Any lawyer or other pro who's actually dealt with highly emotional, controversial and inherently fucked up situations has probably run into this sort of thing before.

This is NOT the proper place to do fine strategy planning or to have priviledged discussions. This is just an open free-for-all where ya'll might hook up with eachother.

I'll email you, Mike.

To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical.
