Snowy Reminder
« on: December 05, 2003, 10:24:00 AM »
Well it started to snow here in NJ this morning. It made me think of a time when it snowed and I was on 3rd or 4th phase heading back to the program from school. Like in any major storm, the GS Parkway was closed down. My sister who was driving, was forced off the road in Hillside. Great neighborhood, let me tell ya. We were 8 miles away from my house and about 20 or so from the Hackensack building. We got to a gas station and called the program who insisted we find a way up that night instead of being safe and going back to my house. I think we arrived at 1am taking slow back roads. Man that sucked. Thanks Newton for putting our lives in danger. Asshole!

You reminded me of when I was on 4th phase in the 1996 Blizzard and my mom had to drive us from Secaucus to Mountain Lakes. The host mom didn't even offer my mom a glass of water, my mom just went back out into the blizzard and went home. I feel bad because I didn't even question my mom leaving.  :flame:

It's reasons like this that makes me hope everything and anything bad happens to Miller and his bitch wife. Man we all (kids and parents) were totally treated like shit.

I remember that blizzard.  I was new in the program and we had those satelites and I was going the same place to Mountain Lakes.  I tried talking about my dead grandmother and I was told she wasn't in the hospital as long as I said she was.  The oldcomers said I was lying.  Oh Well that was one hell of a blizzard.

Until you've lost your reputation, you never realize what a burden it was or what freedom really is.

What did they say about your grandmother? Why did they say you were lying.  I mean, why would someone lie about the amount of time of relative was in the hospital?  That doesn't make any sense. How cruel to play mind games with you like that.

I'm sorry it happened to you. Alot of us were treated the same way.

I can remember Ruth Ann coming up to me on line one night before going to a host  home, and telling me my father did not want to be interviewed and be a part of the program because he did not care for me or love me.I never had a good relationship with him before Kids because we did not live together . But telling a 14 year old that he does not care or love me was very damaging to me. I grow up hereing my mother "bad mouth" him and then go into this loonly place and hear more of this shit !Like telling me that would help me in some way????
Sorry needed to vent !

When I first got out I talked with him for a few years. But now because of a falling out I have not seen nor talked to him in over 2 years.

It's ok. I want you to know she was an evil person. Just cruel and self serving.  I believe the reason she said that thing to you about your father (meaning Ruth Ann) was to get you to further succumb to the cult they were running.
The deeper the kids like us devotion was to the Newtons, the more money they could get from our parents' insurance companies, or our parents' pockets, for that matter. What a horrible woman.
I wish you well.
