Tell me what you think?

Tim,

I thought you told me you went to Casa because a mother who had a child there was concerned about her and she asked you to help her.  I asked you how or why  this parent contacted you.  I asked if she lived in your area and if that was how she got your name.  Then I asked you why she was never mentioned in your article.  Of course I never got an answer.  Why?  I am thinking now  that it was not the truth.  It looks as though Tom did hook you up with Chris just as I had figured and that is how you were turned on to Casa by the Sea.

I do have an email from Tom telling me that the NY Times was interested in doing a story on WWASP.

Tom, Ryan, Chris, Sean the Hollywood producer the NY Times.  I think it was all set up from the very beginning.  I think people have a right to know.

First the Goodwins went to Mexico with a reporter from the NY Times to meet with the highest level of political power.  Paula loaded them with ammunition and feels confident that Casa will be shut down.  I hate to get our hopes up, but we can think positive.

There are over 600 kids at Casa, and what the government will say, is "where will we put these kids, as many of the parents don't want them or they will go to another WWASP facility, BUT the Government will have to give each child their constitutional rights, which will allow them NOT to go into another WWASP facility.  Basically, we are looking at many kids with no where to go.  So we are preparing to house some of them.  Blanche was just offering her home, as she always does. She is a doll.

Can you imagine, 600 kids in one program

I just have to laugh when you people call me looney.  I did the sane thing I took my kids out of a risky environment, you put your kid in one.

Your calling me looney does not mean anything.  You obviously don't even have enough self confidence in yourself to say it out loud.

The NY Times article was written to promote the movie Coldwater.  Whether or not in the beginning Tim knew what was going on, I am not sure about.  However he was turned on to Casa By Colbert (an individual who sells stories in Hollywood) and Colbert was the one who put Chris Goodwin and Tim Weiner together in order to try and make a story about Casa.  It did not work as they had hoped, so instead Ryan was pulled in to tell Chris's sons story and that is why the article was written about Ryan and not the supposed daughter of the mother Tim had told me about.

This is my theory that can be proven based on phone records, email records and eyewitnesses in Mexico.

Sometimes journalists use sources who want to remain anonymous. Often, especially w/ ugly, messy family stories like these, sources back out. Other times, journalists fib and go under cover to get the story, just like when 60 Minutes sends reporters posing as home buyers or something to show discrimination or shady vendors or whatever.

What difference does it make? Are you suggesting that there's no story here for them? Do you think we'd be seeing this much action out of regulators and interest from the public w/o the media coverage? Do you really expect a Hollywood production to blip into existance without a decent marketing campaign?

What are you getting at?

Rulers who wish to subvert the public liberty may have found an established clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate it, needs them not.

Point is, the media is being manipulated.  Like it or not, it is a fact.  The story about Casa and Ryan was being told in an attempt to sell a movie.  Journalists are suppose to report stories they are not suppose to take part in creating them.

You see I was contacted by this same individual, Tom Colbert after my trip to Dundee.  He wanted my story rights to sell to a movie producer.  However, he wanted me to embelish my story.  He wanted me to say I went in by helicopeter to get my boys.  He wanted the boys to claim more happened to them than actually did.  He wanted a more exciting story.  I was not willing to embelish the truth.  He talked to Amberly and Martha and I know they too could not make the story anymore "exciting" than what I ahd already shared.   Seems he got what he wanted from Ryan.  He got his fiction movie by exploliting the media.  Is Ryan believable, I don't think so.  As a matter of fact he tells the same story Chris tells about his son. Chris and his son are the lead plantiff in the law suit and I am sure he is saving that for court.  I am sure he is hoping Ryan and the movie will help him with his court case.  He got his fiction movie by exploliting the media.  By the way Chris told me that Sue was upset because she could not have a part in the movie.  You see the trekkers are all over the place.  For them, it is not about saving kids, it is about revenge.

I am not saying anything about Casa.  I know nothing about them other than what others tell me.  I know if their contract reads anything like Dundee's contract that I would never send my kid there, but then again, I would never send my child anywhere that does not require my input each and everyday.  I would not put my child anywhere that limits his communication with the outside world.

Carey,

You sound jealous that you are not in the movie.

You do not embellish?  Thats funny .You embellish with every thing you write.

Move forward Carey .Life has bigger problems than last year's news.

You are so boring and self centered it stinks.

Also get your facts straight before posting on public internet.Of course NO ONE takes you seriously anyway.

Do you really want to know what I think?

I think the SLS person cares about kids. It appears SLS is making an effort to get the informationout to people in high places.

The other emails of this same invididual gave me the same impression.SLS wants what is best for the families and kids. SLS appeared to be concerned with the welfare of your kids when they were at Dundee. SLS offered to help you. What more did you want.

I must be missing something. As an outsider looking in,it appears you Carey are carrying a personal vendetta against an individual.Asonal vendetta against many indidviduals who are tying to help families.

If I was a JUDGE I would say Carey is guilty of personal vendetta, malicous slander for her personal satifsfaction. A crime in and of itself. Guilty of SLANDER, ENVY,who knows what else.

Tim Weiner was the NYT Latin America correspondent when he became interested in WWASP.  He found out about it because he was covering Mexico as part of his beat and heard the stories.

Tom Colbert is an independent who runs a story service (something like a wire) that provides info on true stories that can be picked up by journalists and/or film producers for a research fee.

Tom may or may not have contacted Tim (it wouldn't make sense for him to do because I'm sure the NYT doesn't buy his services though many TV newsmagazines do) but to suggest that Tim covered the story in order to push some independent film which isn't even actually funded is absurd.

If Tim *was* doing that, don't you think he would have mentioned the movie he was supposedly promoting?  If Tom was involved with Coldwater, why is he pitching a completely different TV movie on the subject?

The media is in competition with each other, they don't cooperate the way you seem to think-- everyone just jumps on big stories and if they have film potential, tries to get their piece of it.  They are sheep-- which is why everyone seems to be doing the same thing at the same time.  Nothing to do with them conspiring.

You are in left field again!  Way far from the truth...Lead Plaintiff?  I don't think so...get your facts straight please!  Ryan & the movie have nothing to do with the law suit?  Again, more bull shit!  Carey's dreamed up fiction about chris & sue; big time bull shit!

Carey, again you are preaching to the chior...already heard this sermon & it doesn't hold water...more bull shit!

Carey, again you have proved that you are NOT to credible as a "witness" to what others are doing & have done.  Stick to YOUR story!  YOU have it down pat...please refrain from spreading bull shit blatant lies about others.

Ok I'm a casual observer of this back-biting thread going on here. The above statement must be out of context. I (and probably anyone else who has the patience to read this thread who isn't enmeshed in the situation) don't see what you're referring to. In other words, when did anon say that they put their kid in a program? And, do you even know who you are talking to, Carey? If you do, why keep complaining about them being anonymous? That reflects poorly on you.

Note: Two more posts were made while I was writing this one, to put things in chronological perspective, for what that's worth...

ALSO - anon,, I sure wish to hell you'd come out of the closet so she could shut up about you being anonymous. I'm getting irritated by all this. This is annoying at best. PLEASE consider identifying yourself in hopes that we can put a rest to all of this BULLSHIT and get on with LIFE! Jesus Christ, what the fuck is the matter with you people? Let's get everything out in the open, and resolve this shit...I'm begging you!

Note: Two more posts were made while I was busy writing this one.

Know what I see? All you people are just way too hung up on trying to divine other people's motives and thoughts.

For some people, the help for troubled and troubling parents industry must be motivated primarily by money or they're.... what, harmless? Same charges keep flying against everyone from the hopeful book authors, documentarians, movie producers and journalists, as well as anyone who someone else wants to smear.

Well, before I get busted with the goods and drawn and quartered, I think I'll just confess to my own crimes and save you the trouble. I'd love to make lots and lots of money! Piles of it, in fact, big enough for my whole family to gleefully roll in before investing it in the local real estate market. Most of what I do either plays into my diabolical plan to prosper financially or has to fit in around the edges somewhere. If you think that makes me a bad, evil and untrustworty person, shoot me now. I'm not looking for help or therapy or reform for my "problem".

Everybody here has multiple motivations for doing everything we do. The media want to sell stories, win acclaim and, hopefully, contribute in a meaningful way to the public dialog. The lawyers on all sides want to get filthy rich, become celebrities and, hopefully, make some contribution to their clients' benefit as well as case law.

The movie makers want to tell a compelling story. The factual details are simply not at issue, those are only important to documentarians. The story tellers want to tell a story that grabs people by the heart and draws a strong emotional response to the facts on which their fictional story is based. That's what they do. God bless them, too. Roots turned out to be entirely fabricated and plagerized. Does that take anything at all from the plight of African slaves in the New World economy? I just don't see how.

Carey, it is entirely unreasonable for you or anyone to stomp your foot and insist that everyone see everything just exactly the way you see it. Not only is it never going to come down that way, it wouldn't even be desireable if it did. Unless you're omniscient, you don't understand all viewpoints. Have just a little faith in the truth and let all the different perspectives compete on a level playing field.

Would the teen gulag industry be just okee dokee with all of ya'll if their intentions were pure? Well guess what, a good many of these people are beyond sincere and dedicated. They're religious zealots who would lay down their own lives and the lives of their children for their cause. That's not a big secret, either. Just press any of the dedicated parents to justify the proven abuse and most of them will state it outright that, because the kid was smoking pot, having sex, pissing off cops, skipping school or whatever and, therefore they would have been dead anyway.

They truely believe they're acting to save their kids' very lives and they will do anything, pay all they have and borrow more to that end. Does that make it alright with you? It doesn't wash with me. Not a bit.

To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them...

Thank you

A drug is neither moral nor immoral - it's a chemical compound. The compound itself is not a menace to society until a human being treats it as if consumption bestowed a temporary license to act like an asshole.
