It is always some kid who just got out of the program and is possibly under threat of being sent back or more often a parent who insists that their kid is now a balanced successful person thanks to WWASP.

I will believe it when I see it. All I have seen so far are the accounts of kids who were beaten, tortured, humiliated, starved, and even raped while under WWASP's care. "

Facekhan:  If you're talking about them posting on boards like this, very few will - they've moved on.  Take a look at the newspaper articles in the past several months. They report the negative and VERY LITTLE on the positive.    Any parent with a troubled teen knows the tactics they will use to make themselves look good or if they were admitted, will say anything to have their parents believe it and come and rescue them.

Out of the THOUSANDS of kids that have been helped, why are we only hearing from those few that claim abuse?  Where do you find the success stories?  There are a few news articles, but most come from their internal magazine, BBS and their own rebuttal site and their support groups around the country.

There are so many more success stories.  I'm not discounting the "real" issues I read here, but most are not real from my own interpretation, and some have nothing whatsoever to do with wwasps.  All programs like this will have the same allegations, not one of them is immune.  I especially liked the "ALLEGATIONS OF ABUSE thread someone posted regarding Arnold S and wwasps.  Big targets get the most negative media.

It's been posted here before, but to read positives go to: http://www.wwaspsrebuttal.com or their internal magazine:  http://www.wwasp.com/source03/Oct-03L.pdf

You are right, Facekhan - you won't read it on internet boards or news articles.  It's just not exciting or entertaining.

Yes, read WWASPsRebuttal, they have all the Stepford Families speaking and about 3 whole positive News Articles.  Want to know the number of Negative News Articles?  Do a Google or Yahoo search with the key word - WWASP or Lichfield.

So, after how many years, WHY has WWASPS now created WWASPSrebuttal?  Because they were probably wasting too much phone time trying to explain away all the alleged problems.  Come on, WWASPS rebuttal is owned by WWASPS, what do you think it would say?  Just another thought, with all the thousands of programs out there, why is WWASPS so controversal? We dont see all this on any other schools out there. Do we? Sure a few on Browns, CEDU's but not like this.

WWASPS never had this WWASPSREBUTTAL or a Public Relations Firm until they HEARD about the Direct Action and/or Class Actoin Lawsuit brewing. Not to mention the word CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS.

IF WWASPS BELIEVES IN THEMSELVES - THINKS THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL - HAVE HELPED THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES -  :silly:  SEEMS YOU ARE GOING TO A LOT OF TROUBLE TO TRY TO PROVE YOU ARE SO GREAT. WHY? YOU HAVE STATED YOU SAVED SO MANY, LET IT GO.

Isn't it obvious WHY WWASp created their rebuttal site?  It's a compilation of positive and success stories.  Maybe they were tired of having their program defamed and run through the mud without letting folks know there is a bigger picture.  Don't you think that when the other programs - ALL Emotional Growth Schools, have the same thing happen on the scale that WWASSP is being attacked, they wouldn't do the same?

Negative is easy - positive is hard work for most of us.

What these former wwasps parents can't deal with is the fact that there is a "legion of faithful" wwasps supporters.  Right or wrong, they exist and if history repeats itself as in the Van Blarigan case, you can count on them to mobilize the troops in a show of force.  Will HURON save the day and if so, will this be the end of the so-called evil empire?  Open your history books, that's where you'll find the answer to a question that is as old as mankind.

Show of force?  Hmmm...then why is this board not saturated with the families that have successful results?  Are they too busy to read all the Carey/Mormon bashing?  Probably!

What you WWASPis fail to realize is that it takes a whole lot of overhead to keep those legions insulated from the more commonly accepted reality while it takes nothing for the rest of us to just let the truth fly.

The history books are just rife with examples of failed totalist cults. I'm glad you're starting to realize that you are the evil empire and that your days as such are numbered. See, you fucked up big time in your marketing. You expanded so quickly that you seem to have forgotten the importance of carefully screening and thoroughly indoctrinating every last one of the parents so they'd all be willing to keep your secrets.

Greed and conceit are not just ugly and sinful, they're really poor strategy, too.
