Thanks, man.
I couldn't help but to find this interesting. This is a portion of a post by Ken Zaretsky reguarding his thoughts on the Skakel case, and if you look.. more specifically on "The Publisher"
Dan would want people to believe that Elan/Ricci are the same word which is evidenced by the fact that he rarely if ever mentions one in a seperate sentence from the other. In fact MOST people who have graduted Elan in the last 20 years have "maybe" seen Joe Ricci once or twice in thier lives and MOST have never met him. he has NOTHING to do with the experiences of most Elan graduates since about 1980. Sorry, but it IS reality.
Next falicy: Dan Bostdorf has never been banned from ElanAlum.com. what he did do was make himself quite unwelcome by irritating and annoying anyone he came in contact with. This is a shame.
It takes no great courage to publicly, with your own name, state that you are an Elan Graduate. I do it all the time. There is nothing about it to be ashamed of. i am quite proud of it. Even with the problems Elan has had from time to time. I AM an Elan Graduate.
What is happening here is Dan Bostdorf whipping up hysteria again. This is something I am not interested in.
Since Michael Skakel has little if anything to do with Elan I am also not much interested in him. While, as a father, my heart goes out to the Moxley family, thier loss must be unimaginable, I ddidn't know martha, I didn't know Michael, I don't know the Moxleys and I have nothing to say about it. As terrible a crime as it was I have nothing to add to any discussion about it which is why there is no reason for me to post here again.
I am sure that Dan will atempt and maybe succeed in turning this site into the cesspool that he has turned other sites into. This is a shame. I am sorry that will happen, This also haa nothing to do with me, or with Elan for that matter. It has to do with Dan.
I don't understand what interest anyone would have in ElanAlum.com unless they are an Alumni of Elan or a family member of an Elan Alumni. There is really nothing at ElanAlum.com for the general public. I would just as soon the general public stayed away and left ElanAlum.com to the people it was intended for. The Graduates and other Alumni of Elan and thier families. There REALLY is nothing there for anyone else.
See you all on websites I have an interest in.
Best Wishes,,,and my hopes that Dan Bostdorf doesn't damage too much here...
Ken
Now, three days ago or so, this post could be found on Ken's site
"With the permission of it's publisher the entire 'Duck in a Raincoat' book is now permanently in the ElanAlum.com Library.
Please feel free to read it as often as you like. Do not copy and paste it anywhere, as it is copyrighted material"
- Ken Zaretsky (not part of quote)
Now, as far as Ken is concerned, this and all other posts on his site, are immediatly the property of ElanAlum as soon as they are posted.
Fortunatly, that is ludicrous. I suppose that if someone quotes Shakespeare on his site, or song lyrics, that he wll then ask for royalties.
It's funny too.. Ken has disabled the right-click button on his site so that noone can copy anything.. Now, let me ask you...Are these not the actions of a scared man? Most people who are happy with what they do, enjoy getting credit for their actions and achievements.
But then Ken does openly admit on his site, that his site has nothing to do with achievement anyway. He says that there is nothing to be created on his site, as that has already been done. Sheesh.. Does anybody knwo what the hell this guy is talking about?
He also says that his site is a grey area.. Ol' Ken that expresses that he is tired of people using such labels, as " good", and "bad".. and he then moves onto express that somethings are good and bad.. that there are grey areas, and his site is a grey site.. His site is a site for Alumni, and parents of residents.
and as many often say his site is also about healing.
Healing from what?
So in Ken's mind, we should all be grey about what happenned to us(me,elsewhere).. Just be grey.. It wasn't good.. It wasn't bad.. It was grey..
Okay, Ken.. whatever you say.
Well, I am sure glad that Ken didn t decide to become a judge or any other type of person involved in the law.
I also like when Ken says that whether or not bad things happenned there, the Elan Aumni JUST DON'T CARE.
Well, that's ashame Ken. For lack of a better term, it is a person's "god-given right" to care.
Care is what breeds all that is good in this world.
This "grey" that Ken wants to build a community within, is the same attitude that a woman has doing drugs, while being pregnant, or a man who kills because he heard a voice, or a parent who lets a child starve, or a kid, who drops out of school, because "why not"
Paul St. John
PS and if this place is for parents too, why not tell them the fucking truth? If you saw a person waiting with a gun in alley, wouldn't you stop a woman who was about to walk into that alley?
Ken already ran out of that alley. He's not at the school anymore, but it's okay with him, if you send your children there.
and if you wanna help the alumni, tell them the truth as well.. They should not know that they would wrong, because "healing" cannot occur, until the disease has been identified.
