Pathway's New Site
« on: October 01, 2003, 12:15:00 PM »
Wow, Pathway seems to have come up with a new web-site, but wait, the new web-site contains even less information than the previous one. The staff link is very vague and informative. We are no longer told what qualifications staff members have. For God's sake, when I was in PFC, Scott, who was my therapist, had a bachelor's level education and no CAC! Let me repeat, he was my DRUG therapist.

They also have posted under "Our Staff" "Peer counselors who are graduates." Counselors??? What the Hell? There is a little asterisk by the title that surprisingly contains no footnote.

Hey, and what do you know. There bull-shit success rate hasn't changed either. Presently clean and sober 82%??? Bull-shit. Liars

Anyway, just thought I would fill you guys in. Check out the site. http://www.pfcenter.homestead.com

I recently had a buddy return to PFC to check it out. He said there were even less clients there than when I went back a couple of months ago.

He informed me that there were very few guy-side (I don't recal how many), and three, yes three, girls. Haha.

I'm sick and tired of this shit. Let's do away with them. I know I have been uninvolved the last few weeks, but now I'm fired up again. Look out PFC!!! EMSR

Go to this site. PFC claims to have a 10% relapse rate. But wait again!!! Right above that stat is a percentage that says only 49% havn't used drugs since discharge. This doesn't seem to add up correctly. Any mathematicians out there? EMSR

Sounds like they're going through their last throws. Nice work, guys! You never know just exactly what the impact of free speech is. But it sure seems to cure cultism like a regular dose of bread mold cures bacterial infection!

wow, i just took a quick look at the new pathway website. i went directly to the comments by the parents and the "current" clients. i cant speak about the parent one's since i dont really remember their first names, but the client's comments i think is a riot!!! they are all former clients, some are even pulls, and more than half of them are not clean and sober by pathways terms.and then the rest of them hate pathway and think what they do is bullshit.  i read kathy's letter back to you Ed, and i agree with you. my counsilor in Indy didnt have a masters degree or a certification to be a drug counsilor. she was still working on obtaining while she was "theriputically" treating me for my problems that she had no fucking idea what she was talking about.

When will it end? I'm telling yu I just get more and more disgusted BY the day.
I just viewed the new pathway site and I'm going to make a number of points that have either gone unspoken or unnoticed by others.
The success rate is obviously not accurate not to mention that the study done by the University of Detroit Mercy doctor (and not to mention long time pathway supporter),  Dr. John Franklin but former counselor Lauren Hecht was also a student and brought sme of her "Supposedly Anonymous" clients into her class and had a little show and tell and made clients tell their stories to a classroom full of people. Could it be possible the success rate was a litte biased??

Second, I looked at the photos and clients must have broken so many rules in those photos tey were outside without supervision( I never even got to go outside) and they broke physical contact in the pictres.
Pathway states they have a medical doctor on staff, what they dont tell you is that you see him once a week if that, not to mention that regardless of your ailment Ibuprofin was your solution. Maybe some advil cold and sinus if youre really lucky.
They also told myself and my parents that I would recieve high school credits for my time in pathway. never got them and had to work three times as hard as I would've had I gotten those credits.
I find the funniest one of them all to be this doosie. Terri Nissley, your finely respected leader of the brainwash camp, and federal tax evading, BMW driving , beast of a bitch is referred to as, "President and CEO (also a graduate parent)" Yep graduate parent alright parent from a program that was shut down by your very own american government. That's right folks STRAIGHT-DETROIT.
            KISS MY ASS PFC.

I WILL END EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR CAREERS JUST KEEP PUSHING YOUR LIES. KARMA EXISTS AND ITS A BITCH!!  PEACE :smokin:  --SMITH

Oh, it's not that no one noticed. It's just that no one was surprised. Same shit, different corporate logo all the way back to the `70's.

I don't know what to tell ya', Smith, except one silly little thing that finally sunk into my head after years and years. The world is a messed up place full of mostly messed up people. Keep an eye out for the cool ones and nurture those relationships.

If you want to really effect PFC, take a few of the most noxious points from their marketing materials and write a brief, documentable refutation then print that out as a flyer and go hand them out just off the property at OM and, more importantly, at recruiting events. Or try to gain access either as a speaker or as an atendee to some of those events. Or see if you can get course credit at school for an essay or study on the industry.

The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this.

We are also trying to get the credits for writing and psychology that pathway told us we would have. Terri Nissley is an accountant and evaded taxes with an Amway business.  Definately into making money

On the new site all the testimonials are from when?  These people weren't there in the last year and a half and one of the clients copped out.   The success rates were done from a one time survey!!!!!  no new one has been done.  and be assured that peer staff are doing all the groups.  The after care person is a therapists daughter, I guess since she was a client and and learned so much psychology from her mother that she is qualified.  What bull shit.

You are one of the reasons why talking about Pathway and other treatment abuse can't be let go. You are a raging and angry person and I'm sure it isn't just at us.  Pathway never dealt with anger and rage. It couldn't. It would make you repress that as a "character defect" yea, an essential emotion repressed even more.  Being angry is necessary but continued hostility speaks of a deep, deep problem.
