Do not send soldiers off to fight if you want to avoid these things.
During WWII, perfectly normal individuals took heads and made trophies of them.
The excuse, years later, was that they thought it was the end, they would die there, nothing mattered anymore.
I don't think these soldiers should be tried for this. They should be removed from the field and brought back to a semblance of what they would have been without being subject to War.

But as a propagandist you resort to a very dishonest tactic, since although the taking of trophies may be distasteful, the salien point of the story is the murder of civilians by the occupying troops. But because your character is a lying manipulator, you just brush that one off and pretend that the trophy taking was the real issue. Again, you exceed all previous performances Stony. This is the best job you have done yet of portraying a disgusting, dishonest, hate-mongering propagandist.

I do not dismiss what these soldiers did. I even brought up what happened when Americans fought in WWII. It is in keeping with the norms of American behavior.
