Thanks for quoting me, it would be gratifying, if only it were profitable.
However, "chinks in my armor" is a more or less meaningless phrase, sounds good, means nothing. Further, not to be a kvetch, it's melodramatics, not 'mellow dramatics' it has a specific meaning you see, words have meaning, they represent ideas, and ideas have consequences.
None ya.. You watching this, it's really an excellent example of hive or group think. again, classic pathologic manipulation. Couldn't ask for better from these folk.

Don't correct me, I meant mellow dramatics, you try and come across as Mr. Mellow, "they call me mellow yellow". That is how I think of you.
Ya know my pseudo-intellectual friend, who sits around reading books hoping he can remember what he is going to write, like you really know the history and study of "pathological manipulation", no my friend you are another "classic" phony dude hanging around a web site regurgitating long ago memories you energize with the help of a aphrodisiac.
Please if you want to impress, go figure out how to stop the oil from killing in the gulf, now that would be worth writing about then the shit your writing.
Like I said, chinks in your armour (it is British) don't correct my spelling unless you know the word I'm using, therefore you will not be dumbfounded by the phrase.
You try to sound educated I wonder how much money you spent or brain cells you exhausted, I hope not much.

Nothing in either article is flattering to say the least.
There were rumors of a seed book , but I don't think it ever happened.

Addendum to foregoing; Whooter says  those who want to "hurt" the program or industry. WoW! that's a near complete 'hive' identification.
A transfer of identity to the group. Spooky as hell, you ask me.

I agree, very disquieting.  This mentality describes children as "products" with "no rights" and anthropomorphizes corporations and facilities by ascribing feelings to them.  It's a twisted paradigm to say the least.

Just spoke with the law office of deb. goodall, Suggest folks call that office (don't be rude, that gains you nothing), further suggest folks call Miami herald to inquire of morgue re records, unfiled stories, etc. Be relentlessly friendly, and then ask to be referred to investigative reporters, sooner or later, one will be hungry and bored..
On another note.. danny, whooter. crazy-talk, stupid -talk is a form of battery, too, so.....
Chinks in my armour is british? What the hell does that mean? Is british another language, suddenly?( if you talk to people from wales or cornwall or belfast or south alabama, it probably really is) it's just one of the many wacky, wacky, wonderful things you say. i wouldn't call myself 'educated', but you may. as for myself, i'm not sure what 'educated' really means. I know stuff, and can do lots of useful stuff, people like my work, and pay me good money for it, but as to educated? well, just don't know.
I know men who know interesting stuff, and other men who know useful stuff, and I'm inclined more to the useful. It's clear you resent those you consider 'educated'.

Some years ago, i spoke with a clergyman on Fl's west coast. He told me a story. As follows. he said that he's been appointed to a commission by Gov. Reuben Askew to "bust the seed" He said that the commission kept asking the seed to 'open the books'. Thereafter,a group of seventeen young people came forward to state that this clergyman had smoked dope with them, made advances, etc. The same story with minor variation was reported to me by two different teachers of mine, who apparently had had the temerity to protest my incarceration. I recall stories of Ellen Morphonius, recall bomb- threat, recall much more than that. Any one who has information, corroborative or even aneccdotal, please come forward now. J.O.M.
From what I gather, there was a real push to beef up so-called stats, e.g., Barker claimed at one point that at least 70% of all adolescents had tried drugs (early 1970s! lol), and that a lot of these kids had gotten the drugs from "trusted adults," e.g., their teachers, clergy, etc. And of course, the dangerous Mary-J was all hopped up to be the penultimate gateway to the hardcore material.

I'm not sure if it was an attempt to aggrandize himself and his own operation, or to create fear in the hearts of parents (the better to manipulate them into placing their kid). But... as time went on, the extreme asseverations became less and less believable. At some point, Barker even made the wild claim that a very large number of teachers (~200?) had been fired due to "testimony" provided by "his kids," and he ... had spoke too soon. Some admin from some school or the Board of Ed eventually went on record that Barker's claim was highly overstated, and that particular sand castle began to crumble. I think it even made the papers that some folk got fingered unfairly or that the alleged testimonies did not hold up under questioning...

Makes ya kinda wonder if these teachers got fingered as "punishment" for not going along with kids' incarcerations whom they knew to be innocent or, at the least, not in any need for this degree of "rehab." Certainly it could have worked as a preemptive, making teachers afraid to speak out knowing what might befall them.

Ursus,, thanks, very good post.. was unaware of any public claims and threats, but that sheds light. where were those claims made, do you know? is this anecdotal or documented? Two of my teachers told me decades after the fact that their jobs had been openly threatened when they questioned my incarceration, and when i returned to school, there was clearly a climate of fear among teachers re; the seed. also, some of the best teachers left under odd circumstance at that time.... Please say more J.O.M.
Please don't say it in 'british', as that's not a language i know, thanks

"British?" lol...

Interesting info re. your teachers take on the whole shebang. My guess is that they were not exaggerating. I actually have a bunch of old newspaper articles pertinent to the Seed and/or Barker that I was planning to crank out in my ol' particular 'n' pedantic way (ya wouldn't believe how this seems to piss SOME PEOPLE off their rocker), and I do recall this issue being addressed in at least a couple of them... Lemme get my act a lil more organized, and I'll post them, probably in a separate thread as per date. As I recall, this came up in 1972 or 73, but I may be wrong and it's a little later...
