Daughter Ashley transferred to Dundee Ranch because she needed "Behavior Modification" as she wasn't doing that well.  Parents posted nothing but positives about their experiences both in their own seminars and the changes Ashley was making.  Does anyone know when they "pulled" Ashley or was it only after the government officials came in and created the chaos that caused the mass destruction that closed them down?

I was convinced that "Mrs. Fixit" was going into her old number yet again.  The tears had a great effect...

Yes, it was crowded there...too bad for the teens that didn't appreciate the private bedroom their parents provided for them. My take on Ashley is that she wasn't willing to follow the "stupid" rules as she stated on Inside Edition.

I heard that a girl there, not saying it was Ashley, had a couple of her friends hurt her and then blamed it on staff so she could get back to her friends in the states.  Sick...maybe not true.

seems like the PR team is back at work. I am sure Ashley's parents were brainwashed like many of parents were. some actually went through visions and can break through that brainwashing trance of BS.  Just because Ryan seems like a fraud, you ASSUME they all are? sorry, it isnt flying. maybe visit http://www.rickross.com look at the characteristics of a cult.

The seminars are not about brainwashing - even this couple, if they're honest, will tell you its not.  They were brainwashed by their daughter...their choice.

BTW - what's a PR person got to do with this thread?  NOT!

The seminars may not brainwash all who attend, but they have many of the characteristics of a cult, or cult tactics.

To the Anon who seems to be trying to convince us that Ashley was less that honest about her experience at Dundee, can you explain why Litchfield never registered his school with any of those agencies that are set up to protect children?  The fact that he did not, especially given the fact that his Carolina school has been dealing with these same issues for over 5 years, tells me he knew it was something that should have been done.  It is obvious why he did not.  He did not want any outside agency watching over his shoulder.  WHY?  Because his methods are unorthodox and abusive.

That is not surprising.  However, it is important to remember that they were basing their experiences on what they were being told.  They had no first hand knowledge of how Ashley was actually being treated nor did they have any first hand knowledge on how she actually was both mentally and physically.  People need to remember that and that needs to weigh in to how their "positive" experience was perceived.  One's perception is not always the reality of a situation.

Does anybody know when the parents figured it out?  Before or after the rioting?

^explanation of the siminairs; a history lesson

These types of Large Group Awarness 'training sessions' are for the purpose of 'brain washing', for lack of a better term.

This is why your kept a little off balance, unsure of what is going to take place; unsure when or if you'll get a chance to eat or take any kind of break; this is why your kept stressed, tired and hungry during the seminairs.
All this is part of what is taking place - and makes it more effictive.

There is tons of information about this if you really care to look.

Are you speaking from experience or just quoting a very old article from ONE person that had a problem with something that is very mainstream these days?

It is NOT very main stream - and even if it were - it would NOT change what it IS.

My personal experaince was to think the minute I got a load of the 'rules', "this sounds like a brain washing session."

Lots of folks I've read them to since have also thought so.
The Psyc books I have, discribe this same sort of thing as mind controll methoids.
Professionals I've talked to since I learned about the seminairs have agreed.
It is common to how Cult leaders controll the members.

Its well understood - but not at all main stream - tho there are those who would like it to be; And some day it might be; But that day is not yet.

So you have no experience of the seminars.  Those that have been will not agree with your interpretation of a news story.  Judy?
