Fnords where have they been!!!!

I thought a fnord was seawater that made its way inland many miles, along its journey there are these tall cragy cliffs (fnords)
that rose up.
Well now I am to understand a "fnord" is a misdirection pass. A tale that is not really a tale at all. WTF
Have we not got enough bullshit to deal with on this site w/o "fnording".  lol
