The real questions we should ask is "Why do kids choose to do drugs?"  I mean drugs such as cocaine, heroin, acid, uppers, downers, LSD and mushrooms.  People on  this forum complain about drug companies all the time.  This issue has been discussed countless times.  Is the OP related to Ursus?  I think so, look at the length of her post.  Another copy and paste job.  She'll probably say fuck off.  The same typical internet tough woman.

We are drugging our kids because big pharma companies are greedy and they don't care who gets hurt or who dies or who shoots up the next high school or shopping mall or the next campus. They are getting rich and recently american pharma has lobbied successfully to not allow people to buy meds from other countries. It was taken out of the health care bill.

I forget the number of dollars that big pharma spends to lobby congress but it is an amazingly high number. And the prescription drug ads on TV, what a joke. Every other add I see now is levitra or viagra or chantix or cialis or lipitor or ambien or cymbalta or lexapro.......you get the picture. A lot of money is spent advertizing an industry that largely didn't exist 20 years ago. A LOT of money. How are people any better off now? I say they are worse.

Psychiatric medications shouldn't be given to kids especially because they are experimental. I don't know if america is a big joke or if people are just complete idiots by nature. Seems like if there is a scam to be lured into, people will take the bait. Just like programs.

This sounds reminiscence of a time when I was staff in a treatment center and I was overwhelmed w/ all this guilt and shame. For the abuses that were going on. I was looking for some place to dump it ( un.be.known to me ).
 About this time I started to realize that the very kids I was trying to help became intolerable to me. I was very impatience, judgemental and became a harden task master.  HMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh....a abuser.
 Now, many years later I read you, I don't know if you are a student , a troll or maybe affilliated w/ a treatment center.
 I don't care really.... it's just were talking about young lives here that adults are making appalling decisions for and we are not ready to "HEAR" somebody cocked up talking about how kids.. 13..14..15 or 16 who are being abused... "some fucking how deserve this"....WTF.....off my high horse now.....dude wake up or just piss off somewhere. This helps my recovery...maybe yours too????
 We are not talking about what happened at home, this is a whole other topic,  The conversation here is on treatment centers and how they pathologically lie to convince you, parents ( oh', maybe you are a parent), and whoever will listen....how they are going to fix Johnny and Sally. Yeah' they fixed them all right neutered and spaded.

I could not and would not comment in the length and/or minimal on the topic "Why we are drugging our kids". I am biased  to a degree that renders me unable to have a civil word at moments.
 I am tired of talking w/ folks who have little experience with this abuse (THE DRUG INDUSTRY) professionally or personally.
 I know I am new here...but I am not a "Johnny Come Lately" to this scene/movement.
I have to compartmentalize (my emotions) with a proficients towards "being of service". That really allows me more gratitude.  Sorry if I got off topic Eliscue2.........
 Dude your argument really lacks "balance" in my opinion. Drugs, over here.......kids, over here. We all get who is taking care of the drug industry (legal and non-legal drugs)......who is taking care of the kids (Oh, I kno punish them...that is taking care of them) well a huge problem there....Mommy and Daddy and there Treatment Centers (right now they are doing the punishing and it's not fucking working).  Why??????? NO INTEGRITY!!!!!!!!!!!!LAZINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!OUTSPOKEN FOLKS LIKE YOU, THAT SAY "IT IS ALL THE CHILDRENS FAULT"......I dig accountability but com'on this shit @ 13 yrs old (treatment centers, Medications)    God bless ya......

Because it's much easier than actually PARENTING them.  Besides, if they end up with problems because of the use of adderall, ritalin etc... Programs have a readymade stream of clients.  See how that works??  BigPharma gets 'em hooked on legal drugs.  BigProgram promises to get them off.  Nice little setup they've got going on there.
