Exactly, The customer is the parent, the product is the child. The schools will respond primarily/initially to the needs of the parent not the child...

Whooter has big problems.  Here he admits the child's needs won't be responded to because the program caters to the parents' needs, not the child's.

This really is what it's all about.  Making the parents happy and guilt free.  It's never been about helping kids.  Parents can send their kids away and then be reassured that everything is the kid's fault and that the program will fix 'em, make nice little robot drones out of them and then send back a 'happy, joyous and free' child.  

Yanno what people??  Raising kids is hard.  Really hard.  It's the most important and most difficult job we'll ever have.  You don't get to farm out your responsibility when it gets tough.  That's when they need us the most.

Here is my problem with this, Anne. You are a good parent and you will go to any lengths to help your child, like I did, but alot of the children in these programs don't have parents like you just described. Then what do you do. Please don't tell me then it falls to Social Services, Child Welfare or the School system because they don't really care on a personal level. I'm not saying I agree they should be sent to a abusive program, no. I am asking what do you do when the parents want to off load the kids because they don't want to deal with it.
There are children falling through the cracks and ending up in these programs.
I did and most of the kids I met in Elan where there because their parent or parents did not want to deal with it.

Well the  announcement takes place after the lawyers sign off on the deal, but they usually wait until the transfer is ready to take place.
The legal transfer typically takes place at the beginning of the new quarter (or fiscal year).
So based on this I would expect the announcement would come at anytime and the transfer could occur on Tuesday October 1, 2007 or early January 2008.

Look, DJ, if it bothers you so much that people are disagreeing with you or you have a need to know which posts are mine just ask.  Pick any post or posts you like and I give permission to Ginger, psy or any of the admins to check to see if they are mine.  If you feel I am posting under many assumed names then pick the name you feel is bothering you and ask them to check my account I give my permission.  Just be open about it and do it in the forum is all I ask.  A little transparency would be good for you.
