Are you referring to Lying Lisa or Leesah? Changes the spelling of her name like the Litchfields or Lichfields. No she doesnt slam others, she scams parents into thinking WWASPS can help there kids!  Don't know about you folks, but I would rather be slammed then my kid abused. :flame:

Lisa Irvin is listed as the Program Contact for
Star of Life/C.S. Landre Foundation, Inc.- a non-profit corp
http://www.cslandre.org/home.html

Star of Life/C.S. Landre Foundation, Inc. does not fund programs nor operates within any program. Programs that are ?approved? by the Foundation are based on experience, recommendation and evaluation.

Can you guess which programs Star of Life/C.S. has "approved"?

One umbrella organization that is currently supported is the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs. The individual programs under this umbrella include: Carolina Springs Academy, Casa By The Sea, Cross Creek Academy, Cross Creek Center for Boys, Cross Creek Manor for Girls, Majestic Ranch, Spring Creek Lodge and Tranquility Bay.

They refer to WWASP as Cognitive Education Programs

Mission Statement:
To provide financial assistance to families with teenagers participating in cognitive education programs.

Top Fund Raiser For Your Family
The WWASP programs are very unique and offer one of the best cash incentives that a program family could want. How does this sound: ?FREE MONTH IN PROGRAM!? Doesn?t that grab your attention? I suggest that you look at it this way - You can earn thousands of dollars by sharing your heart and experience with others in your community. It is easy to do. You do not need to be a salesperson looking for the ?close?. If you can take a stand, be committed, tell your story of why you placed your child in a program and be willing to give information to those that are looking for you then you can make the referral program the biggest asset in your financial package. Have you developed a list of professional to include: Police, Judges, Probations, Attorneys, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Acute Care Centers, School Counselors, Principals, Youth Activity Directors, Parent Groups, Tough Love Groups, etc. Have you requested copies of some of the marketing material from Teen Help? The Teen Drug Use ? 34 Warning Signs is popular and the first to be taken at meetings. Now take that list of names and addresses and type it out on the computer if possible. Make a form letter and send the letter to each person on the list with two or three flyers. Do it again in one week. Do it again in two weeks. Do it again in two more weeks. Keep doing it over the course of two to three months. Unless your list is going to penguins on Adak Island in Alaska, you will obtain results.

How about creating a ?help my child? campaign at your office or with friends and acquaintances.

Why not create a ?sales? table at a church or social function? Set up a tabletop and offer the Landre story and it?s products as fundraiser items. Success stories have resulted in funds raised in excess of $500 in such a process. The Foundation has products and ideas to help you be successful.

And the list goes on. Be creative yet remember your objective. A number of families have offset their expenses by 25-50% by using the above methods. And, the Foundation is an asset in your process for we have the experience, products and systems in place to make it happen.

Teen Staff Fund
We set out to raise money to start the fund by creating an auction. We did it!
Our result ? over $2,000.00 is available to graduates who wish to apply for reimbursement of up to $250 of their expenses after they have staffed a seminar.
Teens can apply to receive reimbursement for some of their travel expenses. To be eligible for assistance, teens must meet all staffing requirements set forth by the TASKS office. Teens will be eligible for reimbursement of 50% of expenses incurred. The maximum a teen can receive from the fund is $250 per event. Assisting teens beyond their graduation benefits them and everyone who experiences their presence in a seminar!

What is PURE or referral agents (Ed Consultants) doing to help families with their high tuition costs at the higher priced programs they refer to? What are they doing as far as family support groups around the U.S.?  What are they doing as far as follow up and after-care once the teen comes home? What are they doing for families in general?

Who the hell cares about Pure.  Get over it WWASPers. Guess it is hard when your jobs are at risk, and dont pretend they are not.  Between the class action and your other lawsuits, not to mention the fact big bobbie hired a PR firm, the fire is burning.  Maybe Pure water filters can dampen the blow for you.

Does anyone know where the class action suit originated?  In other words, who started it?

Also in response to the last post.  I don't think this is all about PURE, but the educational consultants and what they provide for the families.  Simple question.

I would say WWASPS started this lawsuit with their fraud and abuse. It is ending with families fed up with them and children abused. Thankfully this GREAT lawfirm has recognized the need for it to stop. Whoever approached them we are all grateful.

We parents who truly do care are striving to get federal legislation in place to oversee that mistreatment of kids for money does not continue.

Would you like to help. Contact ypur Senators ,legislators, congressmen and demand assisitance for the kids, for the families..

My experience of the so called WWASP family support groups was one of a buch of egotistical cult following CONTROL freaks trying to oneup each other. All for the "love."

Fakers,liars.Dumb followers too.

Your experience?  Okay, maybe that's true for the Phoenix support group leader from what I've heard, but I've been to several others and it's about support, not control.
