The Youth Seminar is focused on developing effective daily living skills, enhancing self-confidence and creating a lifelong method to achieve maximum results. This gift of insights you can give during teenage years, rather than through "hard" experience.
The Youth Seminar offers a unique setting where teens can address issues of self-limiting beliefs, self-defeating behavior, image and peer pressure. Unlike the ordinary classroom setting, The Youth Seminar is a highly interactive experience, which challenges teens to risk and have fun. During the Seminar, the teens will immerse in a combination of educational and experiential activities, which allows teens to evaluate the undesired results of their choices and begin making effective new choices. Learning requires engagement not observation. The students are presented with a series of games and processes to create an experience for learning.
The environment is anything but boring! Included in The Youth Seminar is our outdoor Ropes Course. A ropes course is an alternative learning environment to assist teens is development of strong peer leadership skills through the creation of team process. This is invaluable in creating a family team.
The results desired from completing the program are recognizing the value that each teen has in his/her family, circle of friends as well as the ability to make working choices creating a life of living accountably. Increased self-worth and leadership skills often result in the teens becoming better students and role models to their peers
