Paddy, We Hardly Knew Ye
« on: March 25, 2009, 01:16:49 PM »
Paddy Meade, AARC's principal financial benefactor in Provincial Government, has walked the plank at the Health Superboard.  Meade will leave after only nine months on the job with approximately one million dollars in tax-payer's money.  She is entitled to two years salary at over $500k per, plus two year's bonus of 25% of her salary.  Prior to holding her position at the Superboard, Paddy was Deputy Minister at Health and Wellness.  The Alberta Ethics commissioner decided that it was just peachy for Paddy to jump from Deputy Minister to serious trough-sucker right off the hop.  Paddy received a complaint outlining an array of abuses at AARC back in 2007, and flatly refused to entertain even a look at the program she was helping to pay for with taxpayer cash. Here are her qualifications for the job that paid her a million dollars for nine months work:

PADDY MEADE

Appointed COO of the Continuum of Care Division for Alberta Health Services in July 2008.
Served as Deputy Minister of Alberta Health and Wellness from November 2004 – July 2008.
Prior to joining Health and Wellness, Paddy served three years as Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.
Ms. Meade’s experience also includes six years as Executive Director of the Correctional Services Division Young Offender Branch for Alberta Justice.
Was program director at the Enviros Wilderness School and spent several years working with youth in conflict with the law, including service as director of the Young Offender Centres in Calgary and as program director of the Strathmore Youth Development Centre.
