I think we should make the entire forum password protected
« on: December 08, 2008, 11:58:26 AM »
Well. It looks like the password protected secret alliance forum has been a success. To those who have been granted an invitation to post there, congratulations. To everyone else, keep up the good work because we constantly have our eyes out for new members. Remember to keep your posts mature and meaningful and don't engage with trolls. We always have our eyes open for new members, but please don't contact us about it, we will contact you.

Look. I know some people aren't comfortable with a secret forum. But overall it has improved the discussions and gotten rid of the trolls. I know some people will not agree with this, but I think we should make all the forums password protected. New members and curious guests can email us and fill out a profile, which will be reviewed by our team of background checkers. This way we can keep out the trolls and riff raff, and the industry will not know what we are talking about.

Fornits is constantly improving and evolving and the next phase of the fornits project is going to be exciting. If you want to be a part of it, make sure to keep your posts relevant and clean. Once approved, you will be allowed a 14 day evaluation period. After that, the group votes and if we like you, you can become a permanent member of the fornits collective. We look forward to evaluating you!

What happens if I don't wanna keep my posts relevant or even, for that matter, "clean?!"

What happens if I wanna be irrelevant and irreverent?!! (Say that fast five times!)

Dude, lighten up. It's just a better solution for organizing a project than email. Want a private forum of your own? Just ask.

If you don't like this forum then go start your own people. Why do people complain so much about this secret forum, it's not like the world is coming to an end. I suggest that the powers that be make the forum completely invisible from non-members because right now it shows how many threads and posts there are. If you make it completely invisible new people will not know about it, and then maybe we can keep the future complaints to a minimum.

Wow....waaaaay too weird.  If Im good and only say what the forum gods think is appropriate Ill get invited to the inner sanctum?  There are easier ways of weeding out trolls.  I mean if you are going to say that people will be "evaluated", why not just make it mandatory to log in under a username and then ban anyone who causes a ruckus?  Its very near the same thing you know.

I really hope this thread is just a joke because its like the program and the church of scientology all wrappped up in one.

I'll pass on your consideration of of me thanks, Ive had one too many intakes in my life already.

LOOOOOOOVE ya!

I think they went ahead and followed your advice T Boone to make the forum invisible to us regular folks.  Now there is no evidence of the secret forum's existence, so anyone who brings up the subject is labeled a troll and/or liar.

It's pretty darn sad that fornits has become a two tiered system, just like a program. Different rules and privilege depending on who you are and how good you act in front of the staff. So much for the ideological claims of an open and free forum, looks like they have to censor and hide information, just like programs do.

Fornits definitely isn't what it used to be, that's for darn sure. People are inherently turned off by hypocrisy, and that's probably why the forum is so slow these days.

You can't commit enough to get a registered account - why would you be interested in what people are doing to shut down abusive programs?  I got a registered account and i can also go as anonymously as you....troll.  Christ, people bitch that Fornits doesn't do enough then bitch when they can't get an opportunity to fuck up what is being done.  People working down there have specific programs to focus on.  No one knows who you are, you might be a Lichfield or Sue Scheff - why let you run amok?

It eats you up, doesn't it?  Not being able to see this "secret" forum making it hard to take preemptive measures?   You want to see what's going on down there so badly and you can't.  So you're stamping your feet and whining about censorship and hypocrisy because you can't get your troll on.

Register or sign in - otherwise shut your endlessly crying hole.  You sound like theWho or one of those twisted ass spelunkers on the StrugglingTeens forum.  Go find another forum if you're so disgusted or simply go fuck yourself.
