I am currently in a country that allows absinthe and am currnetly on it.  Has anybody else tried it?  It's quite interesting.  It's like "lucid drukenness" as somebody on Erowid described it.  It's a bit like being stoned, but a little more towards the "drumk" end of the awareness scale. It certainly increases music appreciation.

I've had some of the stuff before and it nearly blew my socks off. Still what a night.. I think it is in China as well. I'll have to find out.

I've never tried absinthe before. But I have been stoned and drunk at the same time, on many of occasion.

I tried it, it was kinda liike being drunk and doing nitous oxide at the same time.  Kinda like nitrous without the "breathing-dependant" aspects.  Gets ya very very drunk, though, I sat around listening to the White Stripes for hours, then rang in the New Year with a trashy Jew girl from Michigan.

I thought we were all in this boat together (abused in treatment), but you have proved me wrong. Instead you act like a damn Kraut (mean word for a German) from the 1940's. I know your kind never went away, and will never change with education. So mostly you have proven that the abuse you witnessed in treatment, you also fell for. Too bad for you. My initial comment was that "Jew Girl" was offensive, it is like me calling someone an Aryan pig or a f***ing Kraut. You are the one who has carried this thread to an incredible level of hate, just like the Germans did in the 1940s. Have you considered moving to Germany, it might be a better fit for you. Remember though, the Germans slaughtered Jewish people, Homosexuals, Disabled individuals, Slavs in Eastern Europe, Polish people, Soviet POWs, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies, and Serbians.
