The progression of propheets/workshops.
« on: November 11, 2008, 12:20:45 AM »
I think I may have talked a little bit about it before, but I was considering the role each propheet and workshop played and how each one fed into the other. I know that when I was there, the premise of each propheet and workshop seemed rather arbitrary, as if we were kind of jumping all over the place in terms of personal issues, but I accepted that it was the "right" time to be dealing with them. For some reason, I was thinking tonight about what the true objective of each experience was, and how they do indeed outline quite clearly the progressive steps used in thought reform. Apologies if this is obvious stuff everyone already knows.

1. Truth: We are broken. We are taught to lay ourselves raw. Often inappropriately.

2. Childrens: We are taught to regress. We are taught to feel as helpless as a child.

3. Brothers' Keeper: We are taught to betray our friends

4. Dreams: We are taught to betray ourselves

5. I Want to Live: We are taught that fear will kill us. We are also taught to fear.

6. Values: We are taught to base our moral compass off of other people's ideas of what we should be.

7. Imagine: We are taught to regress to the point of infantilism. We are taught that it is wrong to desire approval.

8. I & Me: We are taught to divide our psyches and create disharmony between the two.

9. Summit: Our personaes are re-written and dictated to us by the staff members. Some of us even change our names.

But the Dish Duty fugitive would have unto you said "nay", for thy pot and pan scrubber is none but the field harvester at meal time with his work made edible"

and the gihbranist  would say "yeah, thy TAC fortold unto thyne self is but a dream looking into a mirror of self effervescence"

For all your fortidunially re-enriched inspections, they are the breath of the eagle soaring upon itself, harking "shouldn't you repeat all the propheets, for good measure"?

I've always wanted to set up my own pre-packaged Kahil Gihbran quotations to interject during propheet insanity...

Ok seriously now...

Around discovery it occured to me that they had an effective an methodical recipie

1. Truth: We are broken. We are taught to lay ourselves raw. Often inappropriately.
Check

2. Childrens: We are taught to regress. We are taught to feel as helpless as a child.
Check. "hey, we care about you. We're going to help you find the real you!!"

3. Brothers' Keeper: We are taught to betray our friends
Check

4. Dreams: We are taught to betray ourselves
Yup . We're taught to believe our own dreams are wrong. The program version of some generic dream is the only correct version.

5. I Want to Live: We are taught that fear will kill us. We are also taught to fear.
Kind of: I see it as more of a Jihadist right of passage. People either split right before or after I want to live and got the fuck out. "I want to live" means I want to mainline cedu insanity.
Perfect propheet timing.....

6. Values: We are taught to base our moral compass off of other people's ideas of what we should be.
Time to build them back up. Perfect propheet timing. Time to develop OCD, anxiety, watercoloring mastery and faux-poetry writing skills about emotionally charged verbs and adverbs regarding intense goal related emotions.

7. Imagine: We are taught to regress to the point of infantilism. We are taught that it is wrong to desire approval.
I think Mel was so full of ego and deep pockets he'd take the piss out of everyone with a straight face and call it the imagine. It was mile 23 of the marathon. All delusional insanity welcome.

8. I & Me: We are taught to divide our psyches and create disharmony between the two.
This was basic training for special forces teen cult soldiers. Eat shit and smile.

9. Summit: Our personaes are re-written and dictated to us by the staff members. Some of us even change our names.
This was special forces 'icing on the cake'. This was a distraction so that we didn't protest on our way out and hire an attorney they day after we got out.. "We're going to blindfold you, spin you in circles and then kick your ass out the door". "Good luck processing this diahareaa session you fools...

Well, for one, Caroline Wolfe changed her name in the summit. She used to be Jenny.

Normally the name changes are something more along the lines of using their full given name, such as deciding now to be called jennifer when up until that point, you had preferred jenny.
