(Miller Newton has heart attack, disappoints many by living
« on: September 30, 2008, 05:32:27 PM »
A report has been circulating that the once-revered child abuse guru, Virgil Miller "Fr. Cassian" Newton has suffered a heart attack.  I certainly hope this is true.

The report goes on to state that he is still alive, and now recovering at home.  I certainly hope this part is erroneous.

Either way. you should call him @ (727) 392-3437 and ask him how he's doing.

Not really surprising, the heart attack, if you remember how red his face would get when he was going off on tirades back in Straight.

I'm kinda hoping he lives through this and then gets a wicked case of testicular cancer...........

Holy Shit!  How compassionate. It is posts like these that give us all pause and serves as a reminder that many of the children placed truly needed intervention and also brings us to the sobering fact that they are not all successful.  I am sorry that anger and lack of compassion for others still consumes you after all these years.

Hey, that's what program does to you.

Do you REALLY think all these kids were that way before program?

They are not your mainstream kids.  Kids in programs are there for various reasons none of which have to do with scoring normally in a particular area.  Each child is at-risk or struggling with a disorder of some type or another, so sure the program could have side effects but the larger issues are the reasons the children are placed there to begin with.  If a person is despondent or lacking in empathy towards others I dont believe this can be attributed to a persons stay in a program.  It was probably there to begin with and the program wasnt successful in dealing with it or the child didnt try hard enough when they were there.

CosbyII, you write like you have done no research into the teen "treatment" industry. Ever hear of the kids whose estranged parents put their kids in these programs out of spite for one another? How do you explain kids who don't have drug problems going into programs but having them when they come out? Dead kids? Newton screwed over so many kids for life, many died... you really have NO idea. He could die 100 times over and it still wouldn't be fair to those he affected.

Pretty much.  There is a time for compassion.  This isn't one of them.

The child didn't try hard enough? I will admit I had problems before KIDS  but the reason I was there for years was not because I didn't try hard enough. I had to beleive I had a drug problem that I did not have, My mistrust and lack of empathy towards people like him is directly related to the program, from being beaten down, berated and humiliated for years, made to beleive I was nothing, put in purley impossible situations where I never saw a way out, desperate everyday, in pyhsical and emotional pain everyday for years.Guess what after years of that a person shuts down, it is the only way to survive in there. There is no way to get accross what this does to a person, what happens when that part of you breaks, I have tried and people like you will never get it. I may not fully agree with how people deal with thier pure pain and bitterness towards this man but I totally get where it comes from. Miller Newton destroyed a big part of me, and I still have effects of it to this day.You have no right to judge someone on this issue, period. You have no idea what damage this man has done unless you have lived it yourself.

I'm really hoping he will die soon; that way we can all go to his funeral, protest and laugh at his bitch wife Rutie, and Mark the spawn of satan.  I have no compassion for that man, his family or his friends.  If only he will die or better yet, let Ruthie die then we can mock him and his son.  Gosh, I gotta include that in my prayer list tonight.  Ha Ha

I certainly hope that Virgil was in some sort of pain during his recent ordeal, and I hope that his quality of life has deteriorated immensely.  I think it would be very nice if he succumbed to some slower kind of death, though--a heart attack seems to be too slow a way to go.  I'm hoping for Miller Newton to get cancer.  I like the idea of him having testicular cancer, as mentioned earlier in this thread.  I think that would be a fitting reward for the old shithead.

We should most definitely plan on having a party on his grave, and of course we should laugh at Ruth Ann at the funeral.

I just hope the fucker suffers a bit more before he finally kicks it.

I suggest calling him @ 727-392-3437 and letting him know how you feel about his health problems.

I meant to say "a heart attack is too quick a way to go".  Sorry, my bad.  I certainly don't want anyone to think I wish Miller Newton a quick end to his suffering.  I hope he suffers in agony for a long time before he finally croaks.

Well, well, well; Good for you and your worthless opinion COSBYII. You are sorry for nothing because OBVIOUSLY you have no clue about, and have never walked in the shoes of the ABUSED.  Apathy and anger are both normal trauma reactions towards the abuser from the abused. In fact those are built in defense mechanisms that we are all born with as HUMANS to enable us all to protect ourselves, you included.
