As the Fund Watcher that I am, I am curious to know how the Mayor of Valparaiso Indiana could give money to a "non-existent" non-profit organization. According to the paperwork, the CADC of Porter County there didn't even incorporate until August 13, 2007. Now, before conclusions are jumped to, there was another CADC run by the same man, Mann Spitler, III, and that one was administratively dissolved by the Secretary of State in Indiana in 2005. This almost sounds exactly like the situation with KHK in Ohio and TSDRCP, a "ghost" entity of KY.
BTW, Mr. Theissen said he was done with KHK several years ago. I guess he's changed his mind or someone is pullin one over? Terri? Care to comment?
This is just one example of the CADC there, remember, they supplied $100,000 to help PFC start up their little assessment office. Mann? Care to comment? We're all ears!!!

VALPARAISO | Proceeds from Mayor Jon Costas' annual Black and White Ball will help pay for things like uniforms for students in Kenya, the development of youth volunteer programs and maybe an upgrade of an electrical system.
Costas will announce Monday the donation of a total of $28,000 to four area nonprofit organizations: Alice's Inc., a halfway house for women recovering from alcohol and drug dependency; Kids Alive International, a Christian mission caring for orphaned and abandoned children in 15 countries around the world; Community Action Drug Coalition, a program dedicated to helping families of adolescents with drug problems; and Porter County United Way."
Then, later on down a ways...
"Mann Spitler, CADC board chairman, said the board will discuss the best way to use the money at its next meeting.
"We don't have a specific tag attached to it," Spitler said. "We depleted most of our finances with our commitment to bring Pathway Family Center here and give them enough seed money to get their process started, so we are rebuilding our treasury.""
