I don't see any censorship there.  I see a post which refers a few postings quoting TheWho.  I'm not seeing any censorship there.  Only strange thing is a bit of messed up formatting, but that is most likely a conversion issue.  Plus:  There is no "history file" as TheWho refers to (i'm not sure what he was referring to.  Maybe he can elaborate).  The only thing remotely like that would be the chat history.  Otherwise, what you see is what you get.

If you feel this auction is somehow a "scam", simply don't participate.  TheWho offered to auction off his account with the proceeds going to fornits, Ginger and myself accepted (as he pointed out above).

A couple comments:
First off: the decision to un-ban TheWho was a unanimous one between ginger, myself, and kelly.  On examination, we found that Deborah's definition of "flooding" did not fit with an accepted technical definition.

Ginger banned the Who at a third party's request.  How do you benefit from continuing to blame Deborah? What about the truth is unacceptable?

Back in the day, Fornits didn't have to scam people for money to keep the site running. They were happy to donate to the cause. If you need money, you should charge Who a user fee, not rip off regulars. This site revolves around Who. He ain't goin anywhere until it's completely destroyed.

Zen never had access to any IP address information or PMs (which nobody has access to, btw, admins included), which, even if he did, would not have given him access to anything. Even if he was able to use publicly available channels to find CCM's info (such as her name, which she posted publicly previously), nobody has ever been able to present evidence (other than anonymous allegations) that he ever "outed" CCM on the forum.  It's really that simple, and I'm not going to hang somebody out to dry without hard evidence, no matter who they are.  It's not always what I would like to do, but that doesn't matter.  In the position of an admin here on fornits, it's about what I am required to do to maintain the neutrality of the forum itself and user's confidence in their privacy, and freedom from censorship and/or tyranny of the administration.

Another practical note:  If it were to become widely known that this forum wasn't a safe place for anybody to post anonymously without such concerns as detailed above, staff wouldn't post here anymore.  Sure, in a way that might be good, since staff wouldn't come back to harass survivors, but in another way, it woundnt' be so good since some staff come to Fornits to leak inside information and give tips on what's going on (EG: recent staff postings from HLA and Benchmark).  All in all, it's better for the forum to be as neutral as a piece of paper.

These postings are starting to more and more resemble political attack ads.  Very little truth in them, and where it is true, it's only half the story or completely taken out of context.  This stuff has been addressed before, and I don't feel like wasting my time adressing it again.

Some of us saw the post in question, and even if you didn't, all you have to do is read the thread and it's obvious what went down. These mods seem more interested in covering up for each other than the truth. Now he's questioning the truthfulness of survivors just like TheWho does, absolutely disgusting. The post existed as it was quoted, he did indeed out CCM girl.

I never claimed he used his moderating powers to use her IP to out her. I am not the only guest posting about this, nor did I bring this subject up in this thread.  I am just someone who saw the post as it happened, and the one who quoted it for everyone to see before he deleted it, I know 100% it happened. He explained how he found out her info, he used her myspace and her name to search and then pull her arrest record, he probably payed to have a background check done online.  What bothers me is fornits tolerates having a moderator that posts a survivors name, husbands name, city and state, and then says he has her arrest record and is going to post all of her info if she doesn't stop posting. It was blackmail.

But what bothers me even more, is that survivors have been threatened to have cops called on them, censored and banned from speaking in the shoutbox, and yet when theWho laughs at sexual abuse victims, and mocks them for months on end the  "free speech" argument comes up. So if you say kids need to do what they need to do to escape sadistic murderous staff, you get the police called on you and laughed at, but if you're theWho and you mock survivors of horrible abuse in open public you are rewarded with thread after thread of the sort of attention he wants?

For 3 or more years now I have never seen anyone get pissed or threaten to ban people for laughing at staff or parents.  Hell we had an admin who use to post pictures of kids who worked for boarding schools and make fun of them for all their families to watch.  Yet no one blinked.  I have seen parents laughed off the forum for trying to explain how well their family was doing.  But not one person came forward and asked for that person to be kicked off the forum, why is that?

Why is it so different when a survivor gets kicked around a little?  

On a harshness scale I would say I am a  “4” compared to many here….. anyone who has been here for awhile know what I mean.
