Today is/was the scheduled hearing in Gainesville, Georgia for Judge O'Kelley to class the case against Hidden Lake Academy for settlement purposes only, sans the original plaintiffs, the Ryans.
The Ryans "opted out" of the settlement, retaining their rights.
What does this indicate? For one thing, no faith in the "system"; and for another reason, integrity, which the Ryans felt was compromised and lost.. lack of integrity, all too often found in existence in our society today. Truth does not matter as much as the almighty dollar, which to paraphrase a recent article in the "New York Times", "everything comes down to economics."
If one would have to choose between the filth that has been allowed to continue to run amok at Hidden Lake Academy and the naivety that is inherent in seeking to expose the truth, then I choose the latter. It was a cold, hard, lesson learned, but hopefully it will help others in seeking to expose the truth... In retrospect, this lawsuit should have been a "cluster suit", but as the saying goes, "hindsight is 20/20".
Choose your legal representation wisely, be sure that their integrity rises far above "the bar" one sets even for themselves, if that is even possible in our society today.
To Buccellato's dogs that he sent out to discredit our families,
we were not allowed to respond. My only regret is that this case did not go to trial, for there would have been vindication in evidence presented. I say to you now, I can walk beside my child with my head up, as she understands now, how the truth truly sets one free. Can you?
A special thank you to all the wonderful people that worked tirelessly to expose the extent of corruption at Hidden Lake Academy, including families and staff.
