Above "links" expanded:

The Biggest Job®—lively, interactive workshops for parents, professionals, and children ages 6–18

The creators of The Biggest Job® workshops found the ultimate recipe for reaching one's highest potential. Based on 40 years of experience, the workshop's compelling and oftentimes humorous content will focus on 10 Priorities outlined in Laura and Malcolm Gauld's book, The Biggest Job® We'll Ever Have: The Hyde School Program for Character-based Parenting (Scribner).

Parents learn essential skills, critical to shaping family attitudes grounded in strong principles—principles that instill high expectations and develop the necessary tools to meet them.

Educators learn how to create dynamic, character-centered learning environments, where their students develop skills that build confidence and distinguish them from others.

Professionals hone skills they need to place families on a path that will lead them toward reaching their immediate and long-term goals.

Students of all ages experience first-hand how their attitudes, level of effort, and character are the true indicators that will determine whether or not they reach their best potential.

Using the 10 Priorities introduced in the workshops gives astonishing results. Participants from every kind of background have succeeded far beyond any expectations, because of what they learn. If you're looking for the best resource to help you, your school, or community identify and accomplish personal and professional goals, contact Pam Hardy at 207-443-7302 or jburns@hyde.edu/ 207-443-7321).

From a November, 2005 post:

Quote from: ""Guest""
...Anyway, - check out the "alumni news" FROM 1967 to 2005 - it is just four and one half pages...........and if you read this, much of it is "condolences" to fill the pages - and other bits are that a "Gauld" or "someone" attended a reunion" -

If this doesn't get the message to current concerned parents and to those who are even THINKING about Hyde, then nothing else will.

The glossy magazine is 47 pages - all HYPE but for the 4 1/2 pages of FORTY years of "class news"

CAVEAT - just read that Holly Thompson is head of the LEAD program - and that this is special ed help for your child with hands-on help, etc. - for this you spend several EXTRA thousands - WE did and it is nothing but a mandatory study hall in the evenings - No one was there to "tutor" or "help" - there were random staff assigned each night - it was just a hodge-podge of kids thrown into a room because their parents paid for it - there was NO help at all - caveat emptor....

If the Gaulds removed their name from any one of their publications, one would find that the publication was impressively slim and then not worth printing. Their name permeates every publication and "hype" effort - PLEASE don't support this family that is ALREADY living on the millions of dollars given STUPIDLY too their cult!!

Is Holly Thompson still heading up the LEAD program, or is someone else doing it now (given that she is currently referred to as the Woodstock Admissions Director)?
