He said mentioning Osbourne's name in the invitations was no different than a bar advertising a Super Bowl party by mentioning the teams playing in the game.
It is
very different. People go to the bar expecting to see televised depictions of the teams playing, as advertised. I don't think anyone goes expecting the teams themselves to show up in person. And I think if the bar did
not offer the televised games, people could be rightly pissed about false advertising. Moreover, the teams want that kind of advertising, as it increases public interest in and awareness of the sport.
Ozzy Osbourne is right to sue. The sheriff using his name to lure people with outstanding warrants has nothing to do with the promotion of Osbourne's music, his name, or his fame. It would appear, if anything, to run counter to certain of Mr. Osbourne's personal interests.
If I were to run advertisements promoting free giveaways of Industrial Waste Disposal contracts with Contractors known to effect those contracts using illegal methods or having known links to the mob, and I were to arrest all those reps from the Chemical and Biotech Industry that showed up, think I wouldn't have my ass sued off up and down the Atlantic coast? Gimmee a break
IT WAS SLIMY OF THE OINKER 2 SET THEM UP. OZZY HAS BEEN THE BULLSEYE FOR TORMENT 4 YEARS. I WOULD SUE 4 THE POINT.
