pathway uncovered
« on: October 23, 2007, 07:45:00 PM »

hi, i am going to go by the fake name of (Rachael) i suffer from post traumatic stress symptoms after pathway, and went in there with way less problems than i suffer now from the program. i have nightmares about being back in the program about 3 nights a week, and have all the proof i need so support what is REALLY taking place in this so called drug rehab. i can prove that pathway stems from the seed, etc. and tell you that this place is a scam and takes large amounts of money from innocent families. my parents payed 30,000, and by the time i was out of there, parents were paying 60,000 to have there kids put in this brainwashing abusive program. something must be done!!!!!!!!!! i would like to hear what others have to say GOOD and BAD about

CHURCH HILL
THE SEED
STRAIGHT INC.
PATHWAY FAMILY CENTER (3 locations)
KIDS HELPING KIDS (2 known locations

Hey Rachael!

In all seriousness, I likely have PTSD too. Nightmares most nights, waking terrors, panic attacks, and other weird symptoms too. I was in AARC (Kids of the Canadian West) about five years ago. Same beast, different name, different place.

Well maybe if you had nightmares and all that "other shit" you would feel differently.

Didn't you work there for years? I would hope you would've  awakened by now. Systematic psychological and physical abuse works in mysterious ways. Just cuz you are fine doesn't make it that way for everyone, let alone the kids who are on "front row" right now.

i did work there for awhile yes and no i havent awakened. u might think it gives the wrong impression to parents but for some reason your parents thought you needed help prob cause u were fucked out of control. i'll give you some people do not need to be there but most do need the help! its not the best inviroment but sure does beat the other place you could have ended up. most of the people i went through and know went through are just fine also just this tiny select few who cant get over the fact and all they have is pathway to blame for the life they have created! get a grip people move and stop being such a baby.

so, are you saying that those "select few" that say have diagnosed disorders CAUSED by Pathway/Straight should just "get over it"? I think it is completley reasonable to blame the cause, Pathway/Straight because the individual certainly did NOT create a Pathway/Straight caused disorder, Pathway did. I think its completely fair to place blame where it should go. Accepting clients who dont belong IS Pathway's/Straight's fault. Traumatizing people IS the fault of Pathway/Straight. No matter what a kid does before Pathway/Straight that supposedly "gets him placed there in the first place," does not justify the crap that goes on in that place, it does not justify mistreating people. Stop making excuses for Pathway/Straight which DOES CREATE problems for people, REAL problems they never had before Pathway/Straight. People who are (in your mind) blaming, being a baby, or whatever are actually doing something very different....speaking out against something they dont agree with, trying to speak the truth because Pathway/Straight did not allow them to speak out, object, sharing their experience with others who have been there, etc, etc. There are too many valid reasons to lists....

Every time I read posts like yours I am reminded of just how powerful mind control and denial can be.

Nonconformistlaw i agree with you with the fact that i dont agree with a lot of pathway stuff but to blame it for your problems is were i have the hard time being able to see your point. u dont let yourself be a pathway robot while your in there then you would be fine thats one of the biggest things i spoke in there when i worked. FGree will is a gift and people who say they had to lie to move through the program became the pathway robot and let them win thats were the problems come from letting the program own you. i worked there and went through but never let them turn me into a robot had my own mind and control of the situations that they could put me through. Thats all i'm trying to say is let go and move on life will be a lot better as soon as you put pathway behind you! as fucked up as pathway is they will be around for a long time how long are you going to let them still contol your life and who you are?
