Funny story
« on: October 01, 2007, 01:31:47 PM »
Ron Stevens, our Attorney General, received an e-mail on May 04 of 2007, outlining the nature of AARC and citing some examples of abuses in AARC.
Rather than a response from the Justice Ministry, somehow this complaint made it's way to Health and Wellness.  None other than M. Paddy Meade, Deputy Minister responded.
M. Meade said that "it would be difficult at this point to fully investigate the disturbing allegations".
She also said that "Any individual who has reasonable grounds and believes that a child is at risk of being abused is required by provincial legislation to report their concerns to Child and Family services for investigaton"
One might think that Paddy has reasonable grounds after receiving the message from Ron Stevens.
As AARC is just a charity and not a licensed health facility, why is Health and Wellness responding to a complaint to the Attorney General?
