I just had a client come in to do some estate planning. She's only about 5 or 10 years older than me and she and her husband now need Powers off Attorney and Health Care Surrogates quickly. They went on vacation in April and husband had pain and swelling in his left arm. ER said 'go home and get to your doc'. He's now had half his torso removed and is under Hospice care. It wasn't even a melanoma, it was a squamous cell that went inward and un-noticed. Even the docs are surprised. I was in a heap of tears when she left my office.
Everyone go get checked. Right now. It's one of the most common but most preventable forms.
