Exhausted reminds me of those parents who purposely make their kids sick so they feel needed and are center of attention.

Hardly - I wouldn't wish my son's problems on anyone, and I certainly wouldn't wish what it's taken to keep him at home rather than send him away on any parent

Yet another example of some people on this board only wanting others to type what they want to hear - just like Struggling Teens, Keep remembering, you do not have to read my posts, there is an option to skip them

In response to goldenguru

Well, I'm going to make every effort to watch it and see how they play it out.

One thing that intrigues me is they claim it was done with no adult oversight, but what were the cameramen, producers etc. saying or telling the kids? Just their presence would have had an impact I would think.

My husband's theory:  "they're ALL rigged.  Survivor, KID NATION", I think he even mentioned Millionaire once.  Then SURVIVORMAN says OOOooppps!!
"IF they ever really walked on the moon!! :flame:   (he drives me to distraction and the M:flame: :flame:N thing:  makes me furious)  but I wander...
He's always right:  the kids are not alone.  So... how far will the chaperones let them go to 'keep up appearances'?

Sadly, INTERVENTION is not only on air, there are new episodes being shown  :o

AA is a cult http://www.orange-papers.org/orange-cult.html

The more boring a child is, the more the parents, when showing off the child, receive adulation for being good parents-- because they have a tame child-creature in their house.  ~~  Frank Zappa

You are doing the world a service. Without advocates doing this tough and difficult work nothing would change.
