maybe you should brush up on your history and law, canada along with a few other countries are more american now than america itself. in theory, america is "the land of the freet" but in practice, countries like canada follow and heed to the principles upon which america was founded much closer. the U.S is simply put, a police state. bill of rights amendments 1,2,4,6,8,9,10,15 are infrindged upon on a daily basis in america. free speech? although it's #1 on the bill of rights it's also the one broken the most.

Johnny Ringo:  Obviously I don't know you, but if you're reading this site, can you please elaborate on your post as quoted above?  

I am very rarely here these days, and there may well be a history somewhere in this place that clarifies your remarks, but I haven't the stomach to look for that history---these days, I only check in here when I have my own reasons to do so.

By way of self-disclosure, I will say that as a person much more naive than I am now (that is, now I do recognize that there is evil in the world, evil that is beyond compromise), I used to post at fornits, with the result that I was castigated and threatened---my posts were misrepresented in a character-assasination schtick that has happened many times at this site.  

My own situation was perhaps somewhat unique in that the low-lifes here actually tried to post my address (and even a map of my neighborhood) and phone number here, presumably for the use of whatever type of disturbed individual might see it here.  Believe me, I took the appropriate action when that happened, a record exists.

Interestingly enough, I'm also a Canadian by birth, with political contacts in Canada through my family, so you can imagine that I'm sickened by the idea, as suggested in your post, that fornits has roamed into that country.  

Canada has a long history of tolerance and repulsion at threats or violence, if this crew has migrated up there, maybe the communication people in that country need to know what this cess pool is really about.

If you can clarify your post, Johnny, I'd appreciate it.

Anne.  Threats won't make you any friends and regardless of how you think you have been treated, Fornits will not be shut down.  If not Canada, then Sweden, then Holland etc...  Shutting down Fornits WILL NOT HAPPEN.  Even if you managed to get to Ginger, there will always be others willing to carry the torch.  This is the internet, lady.  Completely different set of rules here.  Windbag congressmen like to sit back and preach about "regulating the internet".  Even if it were legally possible, it is not technically possible.  Law enforcement is limited by things such as jurisdiction and will always be hopelessly outnumbered by experienced techs who are dedicated to keeping free speech unrestricted.

In any case, if you dislike how you are treated here, why do you continue to post here (especially threats) and then complain about people's responses?  Insulting and obscene comments are still protected speech, and a statement is not libelous until it is judged as such in court (and even there, injustice often prevails).

Why would you want to crack down on Fornits?  Apart from personal affronts, do you really think it would do good if you actually succeeded (not that it is even possible).  Do you really see us as a whole as evil?
