hey anyone out in tv land have his contact info, pm it to me-do not post it here. this man was my best friend and i lost his number. i guess i could call hla to talk to his wife corky, but i'd rather not call the school, does she even work there still?

Yes, she is still at the school.  Richard from what I have been told
is playing his music throughout the town.

I hear the phones still aren't working thanks to that "accidental" fire so I wouldn't bother trying to call there.

Calling her at HLA, even if you could, would put her in a very awkward spot.  My guess is that Richard will either see this post or someone will get word to him that you've inquired.  He always speaks highly of you, BTW.

Actually, I have been told the phones are not working cause of bill payments.

The fire was 24 May. It doesn't take two months, or longer, to get phone service.
Not paying the phone bill sounds more plausible.
How are parent calls being conducted? Did HLA purchase cell phones for all employees?

they have 5 lines coming in to the place...they communicate via radio's and still have no computers...from what i understand :)

Another possible scenario:

Since it has been a couple of months it seems they are probably upgrading their system.  It makes more sense to wait and have the cable company set them up with a bundle service (Internet, Phone,Television).  This would be much more cost effective from a business perspective and allow them to expand dramatically in the future with little or no upgrade costs.  This would also be one of the last things they would want to install since it is a low priority.
The kids don’t watch much TV, can live without internet and cell phones work just fine.

BTW - the Internet is one of the main communication channels kids at HLA use to keep in touch with their families. Now they've had that taken away from them too thanks to that "accidental" fire?
