Some folks may consider these as privileges, others may think of these as playing games with kids' minds and other may think of these as a host of any number of other things. Just know that this is all part of the mindrape mill philosophy and a prime example of how people develop various complexes and PTSD in this program.

5th phase privileges:

Entitled to have one day off per week
Allowed to stand and walk around group room necessarily
Allowed to talk necessarily in the group room
Allowed to take a week off for vacation
Can shoot gun with permission
Can play a musical instrument with permission
Can drive with permission
Allowed to try on jewelry
Can go outside without foster parent as long as you are within shouting distance
Allowed to touch keys when parents are around
No permissions necessary for being out with parents or foster parents
Allowed to answer questions for guys/girls side
Allowed to give back rubs and straighten hands****   WTF is this about?
Allowed to send phasers to bathroom with staff permission
Allowed to TBB (talk behind backs) in group room only if it's dead necessary
No drop-offs necessary
Allowed to read in group room necessarily
Stand behind group in Open Meeting
Allowed to motivate in front of group
Can carry medicine around the building necessarily
Can give answers to common sense chains  (coc's)

Some  :roll:  some  :-?  and some  :flame:  :flame:  come to my mind when reading this mumbojumbo that is recognized by the government as drug treatment. One question I have is... who's gun are they allowing these 5th phasers to shoot?  And one other one is the deal with the back rubs and straight hands... hmmm.... this sounds disturbing to me.

If someone from the program could please explain why newcomers are allowed to only wear 2 articles of clothing whilst in the host home bedroom at night? Meaning, females would most likely wear a shirt and underwear, but no socks for the winter? Or, guys, just underwear and a shirt? I mean, shouldn't a kid be allowed to wear PAJAMAS? or NIGHT CLOTHES? or something along those lines?

To discourage running.  They figure if you're in your skivvies you're less likely to try and escape.  Especially if it's cold out.

ok, that makes sense to folks on the outside, but for folks who have to put up with it day in and day out, would be seem to be more like a humiliating thing to have to do, let's say, if the newcomer had that "shine" they talk about and had no serious thoughts of leaving?

Desperate people do desperate things. If I were trying to leave, it wouldn't matter what I was wearing, I'd just leave and deal with the lack of clothing I was wearing later. Using clothing as a tool of intimidation is a pretty screwed up way to treat kids. It's bad enough they can't wear t-shirts with writing on them. Jeez!!!  

HOW CAN KHK/PFC CLAIM TO BE OUTPATIENT?????????

I didn't say it made any real sense, that's just the explanation they used to give in Straight for shit like that.  No, it wouldn't ultimately stop anyone (didn't stop me from trying), but they were hoping it would make it a little more difficult.  Especially in cold climates.  I'm assuming it's pretty much the same at a Straight decendant.

And yes,  it's extremely humiliating.

Perhaps if they had the T&R shine they would glow in the dark, thus enjoying the experience of prancing around nude in the moonlit night that much more. Druggies and their goddam pagan rituals...

I'll tell you one thing, though -- You wouldn't try that bullshit at SIBS, boy.. the crocs would get your ass before you swam 100 feet..  :rofl:
