Celebrities Getting Into Saving Troubled Teens
« on: July 08, 2007, 08:32:25 PM »
Lindsay Lohan’s father has reportedly teamed up with actor Stephen Baldwin to help bring God to troubled teens. Michael Lohan became a born-again Christian while serving a prison sentence last year and is now an ordained minister.

Baldwin found religion years ago and has dedicated his life to helping kids battle substance abuse.

The two Christians have joined forces to help troubled teens at the Long Island Teen Challenge, and In Touch Weekly magazine claims the pair are planning a reality TV show about their endeavors.

-------------------

Juest what we need.

Brat Camps For Jesus ... think Lindsay will tell her pop to get an 'effing life and stop exploiting kids?  Didn't she sue him for mismanaging her career or was that another young celeb (e.g. Jessican Simpson, Brittney Spears)?

Baldwin is no Christian, have you been watching the news and listening to the messages he's sending his young daughter.  You have got to be kidding?

So right, oops, my bad.  Althought, that whole family is messed up.  Easy to confuse them.

Shit, this will do for Jesus Gulags what Brat Camp did for wilderness therapy hell camps.

When is this exploitation going to stop?

Anybody know what company is planning to produce this show?  We may need to mount a serious "enlightment" campaign.

so very true but honestly is there any family that's in the "limelight" that isn't?  Or I guess the better question would be, is there ANY family on earth that does not have "dark secrets" or stuff that they would rather NOT be plastered on the internet/tv/newspapers, etc??  I think any family would appear to be "messed up" if watched as closely as celebrities.....

On the reality tv thing, it's already been done.  I think a couple of years ago and was called Brat Camp, a Wilderness Program.

Sandy

Yah, we all have or problems, I just would not go out of my way to plaster them all over the place.  I think these two need to give it a rest.

You know maybe someone should write the tv station.  Although, that may make them want to do it even more.  However, if they get bad press, and someone can guarantee they will...who knows.

You know there idiots like Oprah, and Dr. Phil keep pushing these schools, and wilderness programs like they are a pill you take for a cold and it will go away, yet as far as I know, they never put the dangers of most of these programs.  I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have some vested interest.  Just my take.

I totally agree with you.... I think celebrities need to just act & do movies, etc. and stay out of politics and stuff they know nothing about. and quit "branding" things with their name.....
