All you motherfuckin survivors out there....

Who deals with attachment issues?

This isn't a therapy thread as much as it is a comparing notes thread.

For us CEDU bastards, who had to sit with our head in someone's crotch during downtime, it can certainly fuck with your noggin'.

Me? I LOVED smooshing when I was there, to the point of being accused of being clingy and "a leech". How nice. Damned if you do, damned if you do it more. I obviously had issues going into the place, though, because I was a bit of a touch me not in high school. Does it make me feel stupid that I loved smooshing? Sort of. But ultimately, fuck it. Fuck it all.

One thing I do know, when I get a crush on someone, I feel like I am fourteen again. Total arrested development. I feel crushing depression if she doesn't call me back the day I call her. Pathetic, loser, whatever.

The other lovely thing? When people show an attraction towards me, I immediately lose respect for them. Oh yes, that's nice.

All the lonely hearts say hooooooo.

Lovebombing... forced affection... artificial closeness...
"I love you, you love me... let's blow each other apart in raps again!!!"

Why?  You hurt people so the artificial comforting brings them all the closer.

As lonely as I was as a kid/teenager I would have gotten mind fucked good by that.

Then again the lonelyness and desperation a program can create.... I shudder at the thought.

mild, tongue-in-cheek, exaggeration. It was more often on their stomach.

Sure survivors are going to have issues but who is going to discuss them openly on this forum? This forum is designed to recreate a program like social environment to show everyone just how fucked up it is.

BTW, TAC, what gender did they usually have you 'smooshing' on anyway? Was the 'treatment' particular about your sexual orientation or was it random?

Same sex only. And being gay was bad. Mindfuck 101. When I got there and saw everyone smooshing I thought I had died and gone to gay heaven. Then I asked the person who was touring me around how many gay students they had there. She said "none."

Now I'm matter of factly wondering if a hetero kid or a gay kid would have had it worse in such a situation.

 and it just occured to me if we have proof of this happening in any program these days saying its 'forced homosexuality' just might get some scrutiny put on the places.

:-? I can't even imagine how many people got mindfucked by that though. ugh.
