Let Us Understand Some Things...
« on: June 01, 2007, 01:32:45 PM »
The families that are invovled in bringing forth this litigation are not allowed to participate in any form of media what-so-ever. In filing this case they have asked for a forum in which to voice themselves, their day in court, which is a constitutional right.  Those voices are silenced now.  If the case is granted as a "class" they will
have their forum in a court of law.  If the case is not classed, then the families are free and so are the memos, documents, and a myriad of
other discovery.  Unless, of-course, it is in Appeals to the 11th circuit.
The families, loved ones, staff, ex-staff relive every day of their lives because of
what has been allowed to transpire at Hidden Lake Academy.  There has been much sacrifice on the part of these families to seek justice. Whatever the Judge decides, it shall never be over for them.  Their children are the legacy of Hidden Lake Academy.  Thankfully, there have been responsible changes that have been made because of this lawsuit and with the intervention of the ORS.  Does one really think the ORS just waltzed in on a whim?   Think of what it takes in Washington, then you shall have an idea of the years it took them to finally intervene and the years of grass roots that got them to Hidden Lake Academy.

All of you cowards that are taking their best shot at these so called
"disgruntled parents", 'disgruntled ex-staff", while they are not free to speak....look to the future...and while your at it, look behind your back..
Do not forget to add "disgruntled current staff" and "current families".
Not only trees are planted.

I know of some families that are not returning their children to HLA when their break is over on 06-04-07. HLA lost a lot of children to Graduation. Quite a few children got pulled out after finals by their parents. also. I know that other families will look at the state of affairs at HLA now and decide not to return their children there after break.

The school basically is toast, no pun intended.  The Judges withholding
of a timely 'class' certification ruling has worked against HLA's existence.
The school has been decimated.  The referrals are no longer coming from the Ed. Cons., what Academics that were there, are no longer.  HLA's finances were/are in shabbles.  The fire, regardless of however it ignited,
remains questionable in peoples minds. Trust is gone, even amongst
the staff.  The 'locals' say the fire was 'undetermined', but it does not matter anymore.  No one believes anything anymore, with good reason.
There is reason why, immediately all staff,ex-staff, current parents, former parents,State officials were all whispering among themselves.
One cannot blame them,  where-ever, the truth lies.
Teachers and counselors come and now mostly go like a subway
carousel. His closet allies, that have any brains ,are now shored up with their own attorneys. They are angered that he has put them all in this position.
For what purpose did he do this? His own vanity.

If this is "classed" or if it is not and there ends up to be 40 or more separate initial suits:
Yes.  The answer is yes. It is understood that there has been overwhelming support.
Those that have ethics have come forward,  those that have not,
have families, and will have to do the right thing to save their careers. If they feel it would be in their best interest, they will come forward. Maybe,
their spouses will say, Enough!
