perhaps he is not used to such a large group being agrivated at him all at once.
Oh, yes, he's familiar with being loathed by the masses. DYS, I was thinking about our conversation. (
I'll call again soon. I didn't expect my stepdaughter to get on the phone like that, but I was really glad she did. She hasn't expressed much interest in talking about PV or to other former PV people, but I think she liked your posts on TSW's thread. Some of what she told you I hadn't heard about. I do have a couple of important issues we didn't get to, but that was a good conversation for my step daughter and me, hope it was cool with you)
When we were trying to get my step daughter out of PV, she held her ground against the program's self-destroying attacks, even when staff lied to her and, God forgive me for using the word, "manipulated" her. She would not allow herself to be broken down. I told my wife it was because she knew we were trying to get her out of that shitpit, and that gave her hope. The program cannot tear a kid down if he/she has any kind of hope.
So when you said "I'd put up signs anywhere kids could see them through windows, wherever, that say "There is hope!" I couldn't agree more. That's why PV demands 100% compliance and acceptance from parents who place their kids there. If a parent questions the abusive nature of the place, they're a threat. PV tells parents: "If you're against the program, you're against your child," an attempt to "manipulate" already troubled and guilty parents. A kid with hope can't be "broken down", and that's a damn fine thing, since no one at PV has the skills or training to accomplish the next part of that program mantra, "and built back up". PV's under-educated gooners can do the breaking down of kids, but they're clueless as thewho's gorilla about re-building them.
